Hi

Looking to install starlink however I have use landline phone that's over the Internet believe called voip? However doesn't believe starlink has port for the phone jack like most routers. Starlink just has the Rj45 ports. Is way around it or some sort adapter and would it work

VoIP ATA (analogue telephone adapter) is what you require.

My brother installed Starlink about 2 years ago. He transferred his landline telephone number over to a VoIP provider, who supplied the ATA.

Connected a switch to the Starlink router and connected the ATA to the switch. He connected the ATA to the internal house telephone wiring

His wife WFH for a large multinational and has had no issues since they set it up.

I currently use imagine satellite broadband.

So for me switch over to starlink i would also need set up account with voip provider?

Yes, I believe that's how it works. You can port over your existing number, the port will be done by your new provider, this has to be done before your cancel/close your existing account.

My brother was with Vodafone for landline phone & broadband, the VoIP provider ported his old number over. Once ported he cancelled his Vodafone account.

Can I ask, are you an existing Imagine Broadband subscriber being disconnected from their wireless service? Some Imagine customers are being moved to fibre where available, others to 5G. I don't believe they were ever a satellite provider?

What was the latency like when using the POTS phone over the satellite link, may I ask?

Haven't heard of any issues regarding delays on the VoIP line from them. Low earth orbit sats and Cork earth stations probably helps in that regard.

My SIL WFH for a multinational and requires good internet and phone line, almost 2 years down the road and no complaints about either service, Starlink and VoIP.
