Ah f off TNT leaving the Tsitsipas match to build up for the night session in the middle of vital game.

The women's draw looks distinctly lop-sided, with most of the contenders in the top half: Sabalenka, Swiatek, Zheng, Paolini, Ostapenko, Rybakina and Svitolina. Swiatek must be praying that Rybakina beats Ostapenko in round 3, as she would meet the winner in round 4 if she keeps going. Gauff and Andreeva are the main contenders in the lower half. Krejcikova is way off her best, and Keys has done little since reaching the SF of Indian Wells.

Johnny Mac is commentating on the Rune match on Chatrier. I'm not sure how much of that I can take. Monfils vs Draper is tomorrow night's match, that should certainly be worth watching.

I have to say it's lovely to see lines(wo)men again!

Even better, it gives Ostapenko someone to get mad at, which is always fun to watch.

Gasquet beaten by Sinner in his last match. Another player who suffered by being in the era of Federer, Nadal and Djokovic. I often think of the players that played in that era, how many slams would they have won if they weren't in it? They likes of Gasquet and Tsonga would have at least won one slam, Berdych would have had a couple and then you think of Murray who has 3 slams, how many would he have won? Haven't included Delpo because of the injuries but how many slams would he have won if he was fit, I think if Delpo was fit the big 4 would not include Murray but would include Delpo.

Jack Draper let second set slip to Monfils but looks to be taking third set lots of breaks though! Monfils looks a bit leggy...

Joao Fonseca in the next round for the winner!

This is a quality match between Monfils and Draper.

Very good! Monfils has hung in very well saved a lot of break points..but serving for 4th set is broken...

No escape for Monfils this time, Draper wins in 4 sets. I wonder if that's his last French Open?

All top 8 women's seeds are through to the 3rd round. I wonder when was the last time that happened in a grand slam?

You could have bet the house on that set finishing 7-5 Draper when Monfils didn't take those two set points at 4-5.

Interesting listening to Draper in the interview after the match and he was saying that Monfils had his head fried with his tactics on the court. It must have been hard for Draper when looking down the court and seeing Monfils leaning on his racket. Draper did well to keep his cool and see out the match.

Some interesting matches today Rybakina vs Ostapenko could be great or could be a stinker depending on the mood Ostapenko is in, Shelton vs Gigante could be interesting if Gigante reproduces the performance he did against Tsitsipas, Tiafoe vs Korda will be entertaining. Bit of talk about the Canadian qualifier Mboko, supposedly has a big game, be interesting to see how she goes against Zheng.

Thank the Lord that Musetti is back in normal t-shirts after that sleeveless abomination he was sporting in Rome!

I haven't seen any sleeveless tops at the French Open so far. Hopefully they have been binned.

I'm hoping Musetti gets his act together here, I love watching him play, he can't be going out this early!

The obsession the media are having with women not getting to play in night sessions is tedious.

Swiatek and Raducanu (a high profile match) was played in front of a 20% full stadium the other day, Keys v Boulter (another high profile match) was played in front of an even smaller crowd

If they can't get French people to turn up for these woman's matches in person then you know that the TV companies are seeing this and don't want a prime time TV slot being given up for something that won't guarantee big audiences.

Anyonewatching the Swiatek match? Is the sound gone funny or is it my laptop/TV?

For all the anticipation (including commentators), the Ostapenka-Rybakina game is very one sided so far.

EEasy First set win for Rybakina.

Sad Ostapenko lost, was really looking forward to Swiatek-Ostapenko round 7 🥲

I just love watching Rybakina - the pace, the power, the grace, the calmness of her, and particularly her serve - so I'm delighted she got through!

Alcaraz fairly making mincemeat of this poor Bosnian fella.... he's going to wind up making a bit of an exhibition match of this by the end i reckon, unless the other fella gets his act together fairly sharpish.

Said Bosnian is getting his act together quite nicely after all!

Took the 3rd set, and a break up in the 4th..... but I'm not sure he'll last 5 sets even if he does manage to hold on to the break - he looks a bit wild eyed at this stage! But he's playing out of his skin!!

Aaand the break is gone.... can't see him winning this set tbh.... hope I'm wrong, but i think Alcaraz will rein it in just enough to get over the line.

Jack Draper having a pretty straightforward time against Fonseca...up two sets and now Draper has broke his serve in the opening game of the third set.
