    Just to note:

UK link - sold by Amazon

IE link - sold by 3rd party seller

Spotted a great deal on toilet stools that were surprisingly 11 euro less on IE than UK and half the price of buying off the actual brands website.

But then also spotted this travesty, wolfbox mf100 air duster, 80 down from 110 on UK but 180 on IE……

.ie emails going into the spam folder 😅

Is it just me or is UK Prime video being messed up by the new .ie Amazon.

I can't just click a link for a Prime (co.uk) movie anymore and have to do a dance with the login to get to stuff that isn't free with my first months prime .ie.

Wake me up when it's all over.

Another reason for people not use the same .co.uk account on .ie, The other was to maintain prime accounts on both!

Suggested solution for others wishing to have both Prime accounts! Is to create a new separate account on amazon.ie then doing both on your .co.uk account!

Same 50 inch TV 50 euro more here.

Also there's a great deal on the 65 inch for £319 not available here.

Not arsed with .ie until they start offering us similar prices on the good stuff. 3% more VAT here shouldn't mean huge price differences.

The site is so new that trackers and extensions don't work with it yet!

And the following site has coming soon!

Although you can still link to the .ie page.

You must have had a UK delivery address selected when taking that screenshot, else there would be no delivery date, neither on the uk nor on the ie site. Meaning available to order but may never get fulfilled as it's the case with screens over 48 inches. Annoyingly the .ie site has made no difference in that respect so far.

I ordered three items yesterday: a Karcher battery, a generic battery for a Canon Camera and a power bank, none of which are deliverable from the UK site.

Delivery was free because, of the overall cost and showed April 2nd. Selecting "express delivery" for an extra €5 showed the same delivery date!

You're correct. I have a Derry address I use for better deals / stuff that will only ship to NI. Maybe everyone should add a UK address to .co.uk just to see whats being offered on .co.uk to UK residents for comparison. I dont like the way .ie only has reviews for the 32 inch and 50 inch as if there are no other models available. We should be getting comparable prices / product models here especially on Amazon's own tech. They have no problem doing it for their own basics batteries etc.

I think hagglezon is updating to include .ie soon but Im not sure that will cover scenarios like this with much better prices on different sized products. Fact is the 50 inch is being offered here to purchase at a much higher price and with no delivery date as you pointed out…

That is deffinitely the benefit of the .ie site, being able to order batteries finally, im curious what the price differences were like? Ive been periodically checking a few random well know brands anker, ugreen etc between the UK and .ie and UK is still quite a bit cheaper in most cases

Try add that UK one to your basket and complete an order - there is likely extra import duty that isn't being displayed there. It happened to me with a phone around a similar price point

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 358 ✭✭CoffeeImpala

There 14% duty to be added on the price of that TV moving from the UK to Ireland so the ie price is roughly the same as .co.uk.

    Screenshot_2025-03-27-13-19-21-722_com.android.chrome-edit.jpg

I assume ie will have to get a delivery directly from the manufacturer before we'll see the same TV prices as the .co.uk.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,364 ✭✭✭jj880

Agreed. We should be offered the same deal with a 3% VAT difference. They've launched .ie so get it sorted without import duties via .co.uk. Dont sneakily show it for 350 euro on .ie. Maybe it will happen in the next few months.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,920 ✭✭✭geotrig

should there be duty though ? Finlux are a european company no ? is it a case of double duty also , it seems to be suffering from the same issues I've seen with IKEA on a few items that are nearly doubled in price as they go through the UK, there was some sofa that highlighted the issue.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 415 ✭✭PixelCrafter

They're a brand owned by Turkish company Vestel : https://finlux.com/eu-en/contact

It's a common practice for amazon to price at least some items differently on each of their EU sites, including promos, even when those items are actually delivered from a single country or even the same warehouse. But yeah, Amazon Ireland is predictably the most expensive one on avg in Europe yet.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,711 ✭✭✭Gooser14

Firestick 4K Max currently available on Amazon.ie for €54.99.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,364 ✭✭✭jj880

Well if we all get moved to .ie prime with less features and on top of that dont get fair pricing in line with .co.uk pricing (personally I think a 5% markup is fair) it will be very easy for us to see its happening. Hopefully when .ie gets through a transition period it wont be like this.

"Brands of Ireland" now expanded its selection.

Drum roll… now has Lyons Original Blend 160 tea bags. Still cheaper to buy it from Tesco though….

    Slooowwwwww

So I placed an order with free delivery on 20th.

Expected delivery date was yesterday 27th

Got an email about a delay of 1-2 business days

Now expected delivery 28th March to 1st April

I had an arguement before with Amazon.co.uk

Where I felt that they were making the "free delivery" so slow as a means of encouraging customers to pay for Prime.

Thats always been the case, exactly the same for Amazon.co.uk.

i couldnt get this to work. added it as a 'voucher' said it accepted but did not reduce the basket price on the order. So cancelled and tried again. Then it told me it had already been used.

could somebody please confirm if I would have custom charges applied to my order totalling 34.14 Euro from Amazon.ie?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 709 ✭✭✭supernova5

forgot to add that its two items on that order - one ships from Amazon EU Sarl [10.64] and the other ships from Amazon UK [15.52]

I got 1 parcel from my order on the 19th today and I checked the price of the bin bags I received to see they went from .75c when bought to €6.34 now. Some increase that! https://www.amazon.ie/dp/B09NQGMM69

If people buy the bags at this ridiculous price, Amazon will continue to charge this price.
