    Hi swoofer.

Thanks for all that. So I returned the sx88 and

    got the sfx6018.

YEs, that was original set up - I was only watching the free channels so felt was paying sky for live pause, series link and the rf2 distribution. I suppose I naively thought it would be easy replicate the rf2 to kitchen tv.

Speed on the powerline with laptop plugged in is 89.73 Mbps.

Speed on laptop WiFi standing beside tv is 91.13 but the satellite box is way more stable on the powerline than WiFi.

Broadband is fibre to home and up to 500Mbps.

Router is black vodafone Giga box.

With laptop plugged into router/modem thingy with ethernet cable it gets 393 Mbps.

The powerline are there since Christmas 2016 - (TP AV 500)

Yes have fireestick at main TV and big fan - have I options with one of those?

Edit - it seems 100Mbps is max the box can do in any event

Now you made a big boo boo, that box is cr~~~p. I thought you got the one I linked. Here is what you have

    Memory 512MB DDR3 RAM

    – Flash memory 512MB eMMC Flash

and this is what box I linked has.

1 gigabyte of memory and the 4 gigabyte eMMC flash memory

    and therein lies your problem.

The TP AV 500 are old but your speeds are good.

Your firestick may be old and have low capacity but you can load an app called dreamplayer and it will stream from your enigma2 box.

If you could send that box back and get the better one you would be sorted.

The best firestick is the 4kmax the latest one.

You realise if I had all this info from the beginning 🤣

Here is a link for the dreamplayer but the trial version will have restrictions. You could give it a go and see. And then you could send back box and get a 4k max stick😂

    https://dreamplayer.tv/index.php/en/apps/enigma2/dreamplayertv

You may have to fiddle with a few settings in the firestick if you have not done so already.

    😩🙈🙈

    Thanks for working it out.

Well crap anyway. The links don't seem to be working on boards so I just copied your link into chrome and I didn't cop that it was a different box. It seemed to be the one you mentioned.

God I am making big work of this

    Edit. Thanks so much again.

I tried to ask/set out from start what I was after but I think it got lost in the big h7s thread. Perhaps I should have had a different thread just asking about getting the channels from the h7s to a 2nd tv.

    Edit 2.

Can you access recordings with the dreamplayer app?

If yes and if I decide to stay trying - would you go the firestick 4kmax or the correct box?

Edit 3 - can't find the box you mean. When I search your suggestion ( OCTAGON SFX6018 S2+IP 1x DVB-S2 HD H.265 HEVC, E2 Linux Smart Receiver, Satellite Receiver, Recording Function, Card Reader, YouTube, Web Radio, HDMI, Black) it seems to be the low powered one showing up.

Im back for a while. I'll check box reference again and there are quite a few.

I checked again and I linked the wrong box but it may have been the size that influenced

As you have hdmi in the TV in kitchen you can try the firestick in that.

The app you want is this one, there may be others but dont dabble until you are an expert. its on the amazon appstore.

Just download it and follow the prompts, you will only get a trial version, but will include recordings, the premium is 7.99. If your stick is very old then you have to allow for that. It may discover other devices but all you want is the ip of the zgemma.

Now as regards the zgemma you dont want all sorts of crap loaded on the stick so you should trim down the bouquets and only show the ones you want, ie hide them.

Tell me the generation of the firestick is it very old?

That vodafone box is a pain if I remember right. I think it combines 2.4 and 5 bands. I am with pure but I use an ASUS Router and on 500mb.

To make the app work all you need is ip of zgemma and then click next next and so on.

You are now entering the world of streaming and the tweaks are …

Its a brand new interface and its not bad.

    Not to worry.

Yes and if you stick with client mode it should run ok but if you add the facility to access recordings then it would get overloaded. Keep it simple and it should run ok.

With networking cable is best and all the rest is just a workaround. The firestick is pretty good for wi fi and if that fails then there is a problem.

You can buy a long lan cable and I mean long.

Let us know how you get on.
