Ok I've changed my original selection for next challenge .

Im going with the destroyer of all buttons , and control panels

So pull up your socks and be prepared to have spare buttons / joypads .

Scrolling beat em ups aren't really made for score challenges I think ??, just to take all your money in an arcade .

Don't think I've ever tried playing any beat em up for high score really, should be very interesting.

Yeah either have I , I don't really know if they are goer for high scores .I was torn between this, the punisher , Avp,splatter house and my all time favourite ...street fighter 2.

Good bit of craic , but as I suspected side scrolling beat em ups where the life blood of arcades and brilliant fun but dont really hold much in way of technique to high score challenges.

Im fine staying with it but just hasnt got that depth for score challenges

Think I'll change the buttons from sanwa to happ for this .Although I hate them Happ take more abuse and have an indent and a ridge which could help with the bashing

I cannot do the second discipline..the javelin .

What the feck. Must be something I'm missing .

Just realised there are only two buttons . You can use both or just one . But feck knows how I throw the bloody javelin far . Can't qualify

I am useless at this z my best score has been around 7 grand .

I just changed the two run buttons to those blue Happ ones hough , which are on the original arcade cab.

Nope still Shyt3 :) I can't get the technique down at all , my fingers are two fat and slow .

Whether I use one button with two fingers , mash the two buttons or anything in between .

And sadly this game has actually made me out of breath 😀 honestly it's a workout

And I can't qualify for the javelin to save my life and have only qualified once or twice for the long jump ...usually lose the one life I have on that to advance

Also if you had a joypad you could just rub your thumb over two adjacent face buttons or more break all sorts of records .. please don't be tempted.

So you can't use two run buttons on a joypad adjacent to each other ..with one hand or one finger .

Hope Im explaining that correctly ..

Like you can't slide a finger over the two run buttons .

I'm playing on the cab and haven't tried a joypad but it just came to me that you could easily do that and have your fella going the speed of light

Well I'm shite haha

Was sick of putting my name in so went with the oul classic AAA.

Got 5.95m on my last long jump. Trying to figure out how to control the angle of the jump, seems to be letting me down.

Edit - ahhhh you just keep your finger on jump to up the angle!

6.03m is my best for this evening on the long jump.

I can't do any more. Who needs gym membership when this exists!

Ywah was about to say that ...took me while to cop...you've 3 buttons ...two runs and an " action" button between them .

Wha method are ya using on your cab for running

Using separate hands at the moment, one finger on the left button, one on the right. I tried one hand with two buttons but seem to be getting faster presses using two hands.

Trying to keep my presses really low, finger tips don't leave the buttons. Practically pressing them at the same time.

Using Seimitsu PS-14 buttons.

Want to see if I can figure out that rolling technique!

Reading there they introduced cabs with plastic guards around side of the run buttons to stop this type of carry on

Hang on, does it still work if you only press one button??? 😂 I didn't even think to try that!

And yeah my heart rate was through the roof, felt like I'd actually done a bit of a workout haha.

Yeah ya don't have to use the two ...didn't know that either .

Its then easier to hit the action button and get the angle and timing right for javelin , long jump .

Any way I could have 8 hands , anything I try just isn't giving me results
