It depends on what your actual status is in Northern Ireland and what status you expect to have in the UK. Unless you are an Irish or UK citizen the chance on not needing some kind of permission is extremely low. You need to provide further information about you citizenship and status in Northern Ireland.

If you have a UK or Irish passport then you can live and work in all of the UK without any additional visas.

If you hold another passport but a legal resident of northern ireland then you must have a biometric residence permit which means you can also live and work anywhere in the UK.
