Ah come on, it's obvious the 15 and 16 year old Antos and Whackers from Gardiner Street flats are being directed to attack Indians by the far right on telegram and this forum.

    Targeting this thread .

We have seen everything trotted out here in the last few days that so many have denied in the" I'm not against migrants working here just those who live off the state and take our houses" posts.." only against religions and cultures who do not integrate " ..." those who don't learn our language ", " second generation, born and bred in Ireland but they are still not Pure Irish ".

Now its Indians working in healthcare , nurses, doctors , those working in tech and IT , in supermarkets and garages . They are Hindu and Catholic mostly peaceful law abiding pleasant people who speak the language and their children integrate well in schools and clubs all over the country . They pay their taxes and they contribute to every area where they live .

But its still not good enough for some here .

Yeah they have a shxxhoxx of a country at home ...but that does not excuse us allowing feral gangs to attack them here nor does it excuse posters sxxxposting on this thread effectively victim blaming and stirring it up .

We do, but even this study published in 2023 doesn't properly investigate the scale of the issue of grooming gangs operating in Ireland, given there were no representatives from organisations working with migrant children involved -

I think you should apologise to me . Now back off there . I think Liz is well able to speak for herself !

And you are having a laugh about the rest.

If I post stuff you don't like you put me on ignore but I will continue to call it as I see it .

The fact that you say this , as if its ludicrous , shows you are either being naive or disingenuous here .

The rallying call for the Dublin and Southport riots was on Telegram and WhatsApp .

So you don't think that it is possible that rhetoric such as some we have read here is not being spread via social media sites ?

Anyone who disagrees with them, presumably

    Always amusing to see

People couldn’t possibly hold a genuine and opposing opinion - oh no, lmao10 is so correct and views the whole issue with such incredible perspicacity, that the only logical conclusion is that dissenting posts are the product of a far right conspiracy targeting Boards.ie

    The bloody height of arrogance

What is going on in this thread.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 92,394 ✭✭✭✭JP Liz V1

Yes I believe there is still some not caught for blinding poor Alanna Quinn , there needs to be more prisons build and tougher punishments, imho 15 year old upwards should be put in main prisons and named too, nothing was build to replace St. Patrick's Institution, maybe a stint in prison might scare them or then again might make them act the tougher maggot hard man when out doing worse crimes, maybe punish the parents, hit them financially, something does need to be done

The Journal are reporting a crime and its after-effects, big deal. The only people adding fuel to the fire are the scumbags that perpetrate these attacks.

I remember this at the time and how it was quickly brushed under the carpet.

    How???

The recent attacks on members of the Indian community are utterly reprehensible. The feral scum that was responsible for these vicious attacks, along with their parents, must be held fully accountable. There is no debate on that.

My concern lies with the agenda being pushed by the mainstream media and the government, which seems aimed at framing these incidents as part of a targeted campaign against Indians. This could be an attempt to justify introducing hate speech laws or similar measures. Yes, there were a couple of vicious assaults, disgraceful and unacceptable, but such attacks occur in Dublin every week, affecting all communities. Unfortunately, no group is immune to violence from these lawless teenage animals.

However, the media have taken these isolated incidents, along with a reported verbal altercation involving a young girl, and created the impression that there are hate mobs roaming the streets targeting Indians exclusively. Over the past week, we’ve seen daily headlines, a Prime Time special on violence against Indians, a march against violence toward Indians, and even the cancellation of the annual India Festival in Phoenix Park. To top it off, the Chairman of the Ireland India Council, Simon Harris, President Michael D. Higgins, and the Archbishop of Dublin have all publicly voiced their concerns.

This reaction feels like overkill for a handful of assaults carried out by the absolute lowest elements of Irish society. The crimes are serious, but the narrative being spun risks distorting the reality on the ground.

I thought Fintan had retired ?

He had some documentary last year telling us about what a great chap he was, pretty sure at the end he was retiring and getting a big send off from all the crew at the Irish Times.

It wasn’t even that it was brushed under the carpet, there was no public outcry about it at all, for the same reason as it was known about but nothing was done about it in the UK, for the same reason that perverts among the clergy in Ireland were able to carry on while people knew about it and did nothing. It wasn’t and isn’t because anyone fears being branded a racist or any of the rest of that nonsense, it’s simply because the people in authority who have the authority to do something to protect the children involved, really don’t give a shìt - they’re more concerned with protecting themselves:

Because children, often from deprived backgrounds, were dismissed as "lacking in credibility" their abusers were allowed to get away with subjecting them to horrific abuse, for too long.

The roving gangs of feral teens in Dublin are a serious issue. Even just yesterday in a petrol station in south Dublin I saw a gang of youths racially abusing an Indian security fella as they kicked the front door of the shop after he had kicked them out for stealing presumably.

I told him to ring the guards and he said “what’s the point? this happens every day”

These lads couldn’t have been older than 12/13. If I had been caught doing something like that at that age I would have been beat up and down the road.

I was going to reply 'not yet' nachouser, but these things tend to exist under the radar for long enough so you can't say definitively that it's not an issue in Ireland. In fact a quick search on the subject brought up an Irish Times article from 2023.

firstly why the " " on something I didn't say? pretty dishonest.

I said they are "milking the victim card" not "playing".

There were a few attacks on indians - which isnt on but they suffer yet suddenly its made out there is a purge of sorts against them.

these Indian Council of Ireland are quick to point out attacks on Indians but very quiet on Indians convicted of appalling crimes in ireland.

Care to provide even a single bit of evidence to back up such a ridiculous claim?…. Ill assume not.

Which far right groups? Are they in the room with you now?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,363 ✭✭✭bloopy

There are some pretty serious accusations being made in this thread against other users.

It is fairly out of line.

This is the second of third time this week you have been providing links to reddit in this thread.

You didn't bother to sign up and are trying to direct boards posters to a different forum, while boards needs all the help it can get.

You then below made accusations that boards has allowed far right posters to post here without issue for years while promoting reddit wouldn't allow that.

You are openly promoting Reddit to posters in this thread.

It is completely scummy behaviour and shows total disrespect to boards.

I don't know if promoting competitors is against the rules but I will ask the question.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,465 ✭✭✭Sudden Valley

I dont think milking the victim card is a common phrase so perhaps they got confused by this created phrase. You seem to have little sympathy for the Indian community. There are no victim cards here, they are victims of crime at the moment.

Addressing the grooming gangs head on would have required actual racial and religious profiling, because we all know what nationality and religion were the most of them. But the police was very concerned about even being perceived as doing this, rather than being concerned with the fate of those girls. So yes, it may seem that they cared more about themselves, but the fear of being perceived as racist was what was driving that care.

And now same thing happens in Ireland.

"I don't know if promoting competitors is against the rules but I will ask the question."

😂 Would you stop, people post twitter links on this site along with other sites that have discussions.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 9,575 ✭✭✭Backstreet Moyes

Do those people attempt to get people to move to Twitter.

The far right have been allowed take over boards, it wouldn't happen on Reddit.

Take a look at the link below.

I don't recall ever seeing anyone doing that for Twitter.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,150 ✭✭✭✭Thelonious Monk

the same thing is happening here? you think there are pakistani grooming gangs in ireland?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,627 ✭✭✭enricoh

Over here in Ireland Jack that's how we discuss employment and unemployment stats, dipped under 5% , up over 12%.

Is it not the same in your country?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,627 ✭✭✭enricoh

I'm afraid the demographics are all wrong on this one, not with a 20 foot bargepole. I wonder what percentage of the population have seen the vids anyway

I'm happy to link the picture itself in future then and not reddit. The picture is quite relevant as it backs up my opinion which I'm entitled to and boards is mentioned in the picture. It's simply evidence. I am entitled to hold an opinion, especially when I can back it up with facts. I will not be replying anymore on the topic of that, I was simply asked an opinion and provided evidence to back mine up.
