Im a retired REC right now

Theres big problems out there with supply upgrades half done by contractors

The diy battery charging is a problem as the people with the thermal cameras and the high quality installs may be ok

The persons with the low quality installations and bad connections might not do so well

Amen to that. Some of the work carried out is not to standard and some is just shocking (excuse the pun). I’m waiting for a board replacement after the RECI installed a 63A rated board where an 80-100A board should have gone in. It was only by reading a thread here I discovered my board could be under rated and it was form an non electrician poster.
