And our winner with a MASSIVE 95 points.

The Irish Favourite… The Pogues - Fairytale of New York

I always felt Band Aid 2 was the best one

And ever since that comment was made they never saw Red Silurian again!

Despite coming first The Pogues only scored two 12 points all game. It scored 10 & 8 points in 7 other rounds tho, showing consistency is key.

Both Wham and Shakey both score 12 points twice as well.

But Wham had 4 rounds of no score and Shakey had 5 rounds of no scores, killing their chances to win.

Fair play, that was great craic @Loughc

And fair play to Fairytale... but for some reason I've got The Ronnetts 'Sleigh Ride' stuck in my head now

    Thanks for that @Loughc

Always good to have a reset of these type of things. Even if they all end the same way🤣

Yes think it was The Pogues when we did the knock out version before

Yeah I figured Fairytale would storm to the title, I love it but scored it lower to give others somewhat of a fighting chance. Cheers for running Lough!!

I think it's a sign that we all have our own personal favourites and after that the Pogues, Wham and Shakey are what cut the mustard for us

Thanks for organising, that was great craic

Well done @Loughc and the Jury, that was fun 😊

Fairytale wouldn't be my No.1 and I'm most surprised by the love for Andy Williams 😀

    LOVED this

Thought my fav Wham were going to come nowhere at the start there. Songs like food are so relative, I personally don't like Shakey's song but it's obviously well loved by others.

Thanks Loughc for arranging, better than the Eurovision anyday!

Funny I didn’t vote but if I did shakey was getting 12 from me.

I'm with you on Fairytale, I may have mentioned before that although I love Kirsty MacColl I think it's a depressing dirge.
