I've been on Boards on and off since 2005. My first account was Dudess. I was 27 when I registered on Boards, by chance - it was to take part in the Phantom FM threads. Then I discovered the rest of the place, and by about 2007 I was regularly posting. I was even a moderator briefly on AH. I was seriously opinionated and fiery - got into lots of scrapes. I could be a right pain in the hole (apologies). I'm a stereotypical Cark person - fierce proud of my town etc (not really - I can take valid criticism of the place, but I love it). Himself lives in West Cork but I can't bring myself to move there. I did live briefly in Dublin - 2005 to 2007. Now at 46, I'm much more understanding of people who don't share my political views (which used to be very leftwing back then - they've moved to the centre now).

Boards was good craic back then - I miss the laughs from Starbelgrade, Anonoboy, Mikom, Abigayle, stovelid, javaboy, Frada, Windsock, Candie, dr.bollocko, snyper, Captain Darling, Loopy, phasers, Strobe, Wibbs (some others are still here - some are messers who can drive me mad, and have trolled the ever-loving sh1t out of me, but they're still hilarious, you know who are) and many more. The Vanilla change hasn't been great (as said a million times, to be fair) but it still has the potential to be a great website.
