    SF are a joke

They had a chance after 2020 election to form a government and disappeared because of covid.

This time they lost voters and came out all guns blaring saying they are going to form a government and the people didnt want another FF government, seemingly they don't understand how an election works

In terms of "increase their cause"? what is that? because they are going to flip flop around for another 5 years. Run a few no confidence votes to waste time, fire up lots of outraged videos and end up exactly in the smae position as they are now. Their policies are a bag of spanners and they seem to be totally unaware of that

I was more thinking it wont help with SD or Labour cause to help them grow, sitting in opposition, but I suppose the greens are the canary in the coal mine when it comes to small parties going into power

The Greens, in fairness to them, have accepted that their only route to having any power is to grab the FF FG dummy tit whenever it is offered.
Lab are still too afraid to reject it and seek another way. They hung around the cot to see if it would be offered.

FG and FF though are going to enthrone a mixed bag of parish pump politicians this time and see how that goes for them.

Lab will add seats next time out unless they massively mess up, so should be better cannon fodder if that is what they still want, they'll turn their backs to the Left again I fear though if the dummy tit is tasty enough. .

Both will sit in opposition and try to grab a few headline, picking up voters from SF as people realise more and more SF are a joke

The Greens will come back once people realise they are not the reason toe blame everything from the last government

The Greens will be back, the climate change agenda is not going away, they will have plenty of opportunities to publicise their aims, the regional independents are bound to hand them some talking points if they get into government.

Labour and the Social Democrats have a fresh look about them, and could do well in opposition.

Fine Gael have an awful lot of new TDs, they are practically a completely new party. They can play that well from wherever they end up.

PBP and the nutty left have some thinking to do, losing seats, looks like they have been cannabilised by Sinn Fein. Shouldn't have tied their ribbons to that mast.

Fianna Fail were the big winners of the election, but have some of the biggest questions to answer and some risks. This will be their government, their chance. Let's see if they have fully reformed themselves.

Sinn Fein claimed to be the big winners, they weren't. Losing 22% of the people who voted for them, same tired old faces, same rotten core, leader looking past it. They need to work on policies, personalities and charisma. A lot to do if they ever want power.

Climate change is still the number 5 issue for voters for Ireland, even when I posted that the anti-green's went numbers on another thread. Come next election and the government has not moved forward on the environment the Green party will come back. Pus they won't have 5 years of the SF online mob giving them abuse. They seemed to have switched now to go after Independents as we can see on this thread, the abuse has already started

PBP are al huff now, Paul Murphy all over hte place, give it a week and he will disappear for th enxt few years and then pop back up hoping everyone forgets how useless he is

SF are a joke, they are osing voters and will just lose more if they think the same carry on with blocking houses etc will be accepted for another term in the ditch's

Climate change is still the number 5 issue for voters for Ireland

And with a 'crisis' looming the Greens allow themselves to get decimated? One voice in opposition as the Independents unpick their work. Kinda shocking and utterly incompetent really.
Also didn't fare well in assessments of the effectiveness of their actual earth saving policies. Maybe the electorate made tha assessment too.

Greens take third place in review of climate pledges, behind Labour and Soc Dems – The Irish Times

SF and Lab will grow in opposition now was not the right time to jump into government. SF have bern soo busy being the angry party ot will be hard to readjust to try to get back the not angry voters. SF biggest nightmare will be an amalgamation of SD and Lab with the Greens climbing in as well. They would be pushing towards 30 + seats the next time. They are eating SF's lunch. Maybe the first Woman Toiseach will be Ivana or Holly...Mary will be history anyway

You should ask Tobin/Aontu about why parties with one TD get huge amounts of airtime.

Would be speaking from lengthy past experience there, as they now have two.

The Green conference being on has lead to more coverage. It won't continue

All parties get oversized coverage if they have a conference/ard fheis on. Don't be stressing.

Baldoyle is the most boring town to ever come into existence. It's quiet, nothing ever happens.
