I love it. Will definitely sell like hotcakes if they price it right and will probably be my next car, the only things it's missing for me is Matrix headlights but hopefully BYD will start making those units in the coming years.

Lovely looking bus indeed. My money is on mid 50k for the AWD model. Shouldn't have to wait too long for pricing to emerge. Not sure how the much talked about tariffs will impact, if at all, the end customer.

Me too 😀.

BYD sales guy told me last year that they want to open a proper used lot so you can trade in cars. Only thing that prevented me buying one last year was you can't trade in your old car and get a sensible offer.

I just think the SUV looks so much slicker with the auto-sink door handles. Looks far better than the U.

Those brakes look like Brembo too, which is a good thing.

Know a few people that are considering one of these, i'd say they will sell quite a few!

Very nice. A pity about the Tarrifs do as I am sure without the stupid tarifs this would gave came in some wre in the 40s maybe 43k.

It wouklpd have been good value then but even in Germany it is expensive by the looks of them prices. It will be even more expensive here. A pity.

I don't see anything on the Irish site. The Seal U Boost is priced at €44,100 including delivery. There's no price for the Sealion 7 yet.

good looking car. I think some of the Chinese design cars are really showing the European designs up. The Chinese have gone from copying designs to innovative designs that are great to look at.

Priced right this will do well.

The Chinese and Koreans have been making a show of the big German houses for the last few years. VAG, BMW and Merc buried their heads in the sand IMO. They lost touch with their market and we are seeing the fruits of that labour now with them being in trouble somewhat.

When you can buy a BYD, Tesla or Kia that’s built as good, better spec, better warranty, better performance and for much less than the legacies, of course people will love towards them.

As another poster says, it'll be interesting to see how they price them up here. That's obviously key. If by some miracle they were priced as per Germany above above (48k/54k/59k not including grant reduction), then their vastly superior 5yr/160kwarranty would far outshine the 3yr/90k-km VW ID4 offering (just using a similar SUV for comparison).

But something tells me we will end up seeing the NET prices similar to the above.
