still think it’s important for latter that you nail down a “I would have voted for…” post that’s clear and countable latter, for info gathering.

Feels like the third finisher was fired off last night by someone hunting to see if someone had used theirs already to attack Strawbs, right? If we say Strawbs was double tapped by wolves (and I like the theory of “wolves wanted to see would a panicked villager finish her off”), so two wolves were open to instantly being caught if hit with a finisher themselves.

Mind, now there’s potentially two more people who are finisherless, which makes that a bit trickier to figure out now….

You replied to getting a finisher yesterday and 5 minutes later you posted 2 list of 14 players, some of whom have barely posted so far. How did you get this list so quick?

Also, why do you think you were targeted twice?

If you are indeed a wolf, and this is a ploy by your team, you might not be the one that is prone but rather another one of your team. Though that might be recognised after voting tonight if voting is revealed on thread

Ive looked at strawbs posts pre attack and I can't see anything that would, for me, trigger an attack.

The way she reacted makes me think that she didn't fully understand the mechanic and assumed she'd been named. That leads me to believe it's genuine. The second attack is after we went through the diagnosis of the mechanics so we just need to take her word for it.

She "should" be unable to vote now which messes with the vote data but there's no punishment mentioned for not voting so.…? We take her word?

Something is fishy here but it bothers with the team Vs enemies numbers.

I have lists already because that’s what I do. I already explained my reasoning for playing like this in one of my minimal amount of posts before receiving a finisher. Work out for yourselves why you’re on/not on a list.

Why was a finisher used on me? Obviously to stop me using my own. Why was a second finisher used on me? Could be to stop me using my lynch on a player from my list or as a double bluff and the finisher who knocked me prone wants the attention on my list and away from them.

Me on a team with the two finishers makes absolutely no sense. Removing the finishing ability of 3 players in order for one of those players to be in the suspicious spotlight for the entirety of Day 1 isn’t the best way to keep a team intact, is it?

2 missed votes results in a modkill according to the OP. I'd also consider it very very bad form for a wolf to intentionally miss a vote, but I don't think that is the case here

I'd be inclined to go with strawbs version, with the usual WW scepticism. Absolutely no passes for strawbs if they survive the day. It's also made stawbs very unlikely to be voted for today

Just on the not voting, if Strawberry is the only missed vote then we can safely assume she was prone. If anyone else doesn’t vote we will need to look at their reasons why as only prone players should be missing votes

That was an eventful evening! I think there are a few possible scenarios for the Strawbs situation:

1. Rogue villager throws a finisher at Strawbs and a second villager (or wolf?) follows suit just for the craic; hence there's no 3rd finisher. Poor villager play IMO
2. A wolf team targets Strawbs because they think she's one of the lovers ("should the cursed one be attacked by evil forces before they assume this role, they will turn heel and join the faction they had once set out to destroy"); why no a 3rd finisher though? Is it possible that a 3rd one was played but not announced?
3. Wolf team targets Strawbs because they think she's the the 1st wolf team leader ("faction leader is hunting his major rivals and can gain power from their elimination"); no reason not to throw a 3rd finisher though.
4. Strawbs was targeted by her own wolf team to make her look villagey; would be a ballsy play but considering there are 2 wolf teams it's not likely to work so I don't think it's a runner. Would be the best explanation for not delivering a 3rd finisher though.
   
5. Wolf team targets Strawbs just to put the focus on her for the day; would seem like a high price to pay for limited gain though. Unless there's some sort of task & prize at play for the wolves behind the scenes, Necro would have known that putting the pressure on the wolves to use finishers like that would be sure to create some chaos - this might make it more likely?

So the more I think about it, the more I feel that either # 1 or #5 above is the most likely scenario

The 3rd finisher which was reversed is difficult to analyse; it could potentially fit in with scenario # 5 above but if you're a wolf, surely you hit Strawbs and kill her off rather than targeting a new person. I'd say this is more likely to be a villager searching for a wolf who has already used their finisher.

Why obvious to stop you using yours? One villager with a finisher is very little threat to anyone this early in the game. This could have all happened to cause confusion but surely villager wouldn't do that, what's the benefit to the village?

On the other hand, what is the benefit also for wolves to use their finishers? I could get on board with the idea, which I think someone mentioned last night, that one of the wolves found the rival of the alpha wolf and that being you would likely make you a villager?

Let's see how today progresses, things move quick in this game

I wondered if the 3rd finisher was someone testing if they could kill strawbs. I assume whoever it was has a reason for not coming forward if that's the case. Either way, she should be locked out of voting.

The third finisher was reversed though, so it can't have been Strawbs (assuming her first claim was legit)

I'm on edge, but leaning towards Strawbs being an innocent victim (innocent potentially meaning opposing wolf though) and the wolves were just trying to create chaos, which they have

5 people have used or lost their finisher now, and I'd only be consistent of the first of those being a wolf

I can't see her claim being false, it's too high risk as someone could counterclaim and then she's basically outed as having lied. The only way to ensure there's not a counterclaim would have been too hit a teammate, which seems unnecessary. Wolf hitting village (or opponent) seems most likely, no?

Before the 1st finisher was used we were discussing ShaneU speculating on there being a lone wolf, Liz was talking about Dom/Rey with Neo, Lord TSC also posted on it, Raze was nostalgically talking about insta killing Tigger in the good old days. Duffman also checked in quickly. I think that was it but if there was something else add it on

I agree, I think it was a wolf trying their luck - it is the second attack that is more confusing - if it was a wolf - why not finish the job? If it was a villager - why target her again with so little to go on.

If it was a villager I think they should tell us now. I appreciate that opens them up as not having a finisher, but I think it would be really useful to know why Strawbs was killed

It could be but if you're a villager, then it's a high risk "check"; if you're a wolf though, it would make sense as you'd have identified a member of the other wolf team
