Private Companies that do clamping

1. I own an apartment and it comes with a space
2. Folks keep parking in it and management company won't get involved
3. I have to contract my own private clampers.

Anyone know of any companies that do this in Dublin city center? I can only find 1 or 2 on Google.

• Management company have ghosted me. Useless.
• There were some cones loose in the area and I put them over the space
• The taxi driver got the hint but still parked up on the curb (inside the gate)

So hopefully that's the end of it but will get onto management company.

A removable/foldable parking barrier to keep the spot empty for yourself would seem like a lot less hassle. If a car is clamped in your spot, it's still blocking your spot and will potentially be there for longer.

And don't forget to have the relevant signage, and possibly insurance for when someone takes a claim against you stating the clamp damaged their wheel.

You aren't going to get a clamping company to come into an apartment complex for one space. They will only come onto the site if they have a contract with the OMC.

Buy/procure a proper looking sign and stick it up at your parking place. A relation used to do his own clamping, but a sign might be enough to persuade offenders to park in another spot.

Can you not Google it yourself then? No clamping company is going to deal with you if all you can provide for them is 1 parking space. I thought that was fairly obvious

Just buy a cone and stick a notice on it saying private parking space and block the space with it, someone would want to be seriously cheeky to move a cone with a notice on it and park in the space

Ive had this issue before. Unfortunately some random person who must have taken pity on me, placed a non-removable sticker on their window the first time. The second time there were more stickers on their windows. Third time, that lovely random person put about 15 of those stickers covering their windows and they never parked there again. Thank you random person for doing that…

Giving yourself a lot of headaches imo. What if the illegal parker doesn't pay the release fee? How many days will it be there until you have it removed? Where do you park in the meantime? Who pays to have the vehicle removed from your spot and where does it go then? Who is responsible for the safekeeping of the vehicle until the owner claims it? Who pays for that? Can you even legally clamp a person parked in your allocated spot? Who owns the car park?

So many things could go wrong. Agree with others - installing a lockable barrier seems a lot less hassle. Or use those sticky window signs - they're a nightmare to remove 😂😂

Not just the single space issue - no clamping company will take on a contract from an individual, when the management company owns the parking space.

No clamping company will entertain an individual looking to contract them when a manangement owns the property.Also,putting a barrier across your parking space will require advance permission.Persist anyway

I mean, depending on what you mean by "management company", you either:

• employ the management company or
• are the management company

If you want to change the parking policy, you (along with the other owners) are the ones with the power to do that
