Yeah maybe he should be higher up the pecking order but doesn't seem to be. So he's wasting his time. Imagine if we loaned him out and he played a full season of championship football. Then we'd have a real option for next season rather than another question mark imo.

Simon Harris is monitoring the situation...

And Maz and Martinez were injured. So we had four players only ahead of him at the time. Shaw is a walking sick note himself and Maguire can only play CCB so no we didn't have enough cover at the time.

And the only reports I've seen about Martinez's return date is they're hoping he can return before the new year so I wouldn't call that due back soon either.

Given the squad setup for the year and shaws injury history it was deffo a must to keep heaven at least until Martinez comes back but probably even after that, and while I've liked the look of his ability so far I wouldn't say he looks ready yet full time for the primer league mind.

Then depending on his development he would hopefully get more chances next year as we might have more games or if it's deemed he isn't quite ready he could then go on loan.

Think his situation has been fair so far having two inexperienced you g players in the back line would be tough for any team

what i've seen he is due back this month, after the international break? To first team full training anyway. Maybe there has been a delay i didn't see though.

I saw that too - first team training so maybe a couple of weeks after that some minutes off the bench?

Fingers crossed because we badly miss him in defence and that he comes back just as strong.

when martinez gets back, and if he proves his fitness heaven needs to be sent on loan, as does fredricson.

    amorim don't like rotating.

playing once per week till jan, we have the numbers: yoro, de ligt, maz, martinez, shaw, maguire.

6 for 3 positions is fine. if it goes tits up with injuries, have cas play CCB who pushes up.

I hope I'm wrong but I just don't see a world where Licha comes back anywhere near the level he needs to be at. This is his 3rd serious injury on the bounce and that's very hard to recover from.

tis all in the past now so doesn't really matter. from gyokeres' agent:

"They [Sporting] had concluded a deal with Manchester United behind our backs, that was a problem. United offered a higher transfer fee." "If [Hugo] Viana were still at Sporting, the deal would have been done within an hour," Chalkias added on Gyokeres' transfer.

"Everything was written, but we didn't have time to start a legal battle. I don't understand how a player who scored so many goals and won three trophies didn't deserve more respect. "They offered him to Real Madrid, made headlines with Madrid and even United, but from day one, there was a commitment to Arsenal."

Heaven went down injured in the 1st minute for England's U20s. Was able to play on but was subbed at half time.

Manager said: "I don't think it is too serious but we will have to see how it settles down."

with the midfield, there is a legit scenario where all 4 leave this summer.

cas will go, ugarte and bruno should be sold, mainoo should force a move in jan or the summer (if amorim is still in situ).

i hope the brains trust have lined up at least 4 who are ready to go (liverpool did it with 3). stiller for eg has a e40m release clause (can be bought out for 2m though).

that stuggart midfielder (Chema Andrés) is interesting that real want to buy back.

Loads of tickets on general sale for the Brighton match..Guess Jim has really priced everyone out.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,007 ✭✭✭AidoEirE

What are price tickets out of curiosity for it?

Want to bring the eldest lad (will be 11) after Christmas for a game at OT.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,992 ✭✭✭Bleating Lamb

Apologise for piggybacking on your ? but have a young lad mad to get over to a game as well!😅…….

Haven’t being over myself in 5/6 years,am not a member of a local ‘Supporters’ group.

Know they can be a good source of tickets…..if trying to buy tickets yourself, how do you go about it?

    TIA🙂

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,673 ✭✭✭✭FourFourRED

The price of the tickets is one thing but it’s £37.50 for an adult membership to just be allowed to buy a ticket for yourself in the first place. I would typically get the Lite membership for £20/£25 every year but I don’t see any option to buy that now and I didn’t renew in the summer…

Anyway to answer your question. The Wolves game after Xmas is Cat C, one of the 2 cheapest home league fixtures this season.

    -Cat D: £32 - £52 (cup fixtures only). - Cat C: £37 - £60 (2 x PL fixtures)
    - Cat B: £57 - £86 (11 x PL fixtures)
    - Cat A: £59 - £97 (6 x PL fixtures)

If buying tickets direct from the club website you’ll both need a membership. You can buy an U16 one. No regular priced tickets available now but they will be available closer to the game.

Looking at the Brighton game which is Cat B as an example, cheapest Adult ticket is £63 and U16 is £31.50.

So it will be a bit cheaper again for Wolves. Those tickets mentioned above are for the top tier of the SAF stand, my advice anyway would be to pay a little extra and get seats a bit lower down and closer to the action if possible. Just personal preference, I think it’s worth the extra few quid.

@Bleating Lamb I almost always just buy from the club, it’s the least hassle for me. (A friend has a pair of ST’s but at risk of sounding like a snob, I don’t like his seats 😂) Over the last few years there’s been tickets available for pretty much every game - the only thing for someone like you is needing to get two seated together which is a little bit harder (I’ve been happy with going with a friend/brother and just being in the same section.) so you would just need to keep looking for 2 to pop up next to each other. A game like Wolves above is likely to have a lot of availability. As above, you’d need to have memberships for each person before being able to purchase the tickets. Other options would be supporters club, knowing someone with a ST or third party websites which can be a risk. I used one for the City away game last season. Our tickets didn’t scan originally but got sorted just before kick off. Very expensive but well worth it (for me) as we won 😁

You can just sign up for a membership and buy tickets off the site handy enough.

Bar that buy a membership and find someone who sells their season ticket.

The packages from the like of champion travel or whatever they are called aren't too bad either.

Has never been easier to get to united games tbh.

Just to add on to this, if you know someone with a season ticket, buy the forwarding membership and not the full one. £25 instead of £37.50.

    P1 travel is another one.

Mind you the last time I looked the United cuts had taken effect. Used to get a full meal in the lounge and could basically eat as much as you wanted. Now it's a voucher for the concourse. Miserable gits.

Another goal for Hojlund, delighted for him.

Feel for the guy that he never got an opportunity to play with the likes of Mbeumo and Cunha who actually try to create chances for the lead striker.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,902 ✭✭✭keeponhurling

True, he probably would have done better with better service.

But we shouldn't forget that his own performances were pretty poor too. He had 2 years as the main starting striker.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 488 ✭✭kyleman

He had 2 years as the main striker but service to him was poor and considering he is now only 22 there is no way that anyone that young should have been the main striker for any top club.

are we obliged to sell him at the end of the season if Napoli want to buy? Could end up looking like a very bad deal if he continues to bang in the goals.

Mbueno has one assist this season, Cunha has none. I'm not so sure that the structural issues that isolated Hojlund so badly are any different now for Sesko. I think Sesko is a better player, but it still looks like it is 10+1 a lot of the time.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 26,874 ✭✭✭✭pjohnson

That was the problem he was hung out to dry for two years.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 576 ✭✭✭Seattle

Hojlund was useless for us, even after you take into account that he was the only striker and the service was poor.

His touch was generally bad and he rarely trapped the ball when a defender was tight to him. Despite his height, his aerial duel success rate was poor. I used to cringe at how easy it was for CBs to deal with him.

He's good at running in behind and he can finish well when he gets a clear sight of goal. So unless you're a team that spams through balls down the middle (something KDB is excellent at), then you're not going to get much out of him.

Anyone going to TOTD tonight in Vicar Street?

The loan becomes permanent for £38M when Napoli qualify for the CL.

Think it's 44m euro obligation if they qualify for CL. On top of the 6m loan fee would bring it to 50m euro back, not the worst outcome all things considered, depending on Sesko I suppose.
