Looking for rifle stock modification

Hi All,

I'm looking for recommendations, if anyone can help.

I've a rifle with a wooden monte carlo stock and I bought a butt pad, but the problem is that the butt pad I bought has a flat face, and the monte carlo is curved.

Plus the existing hard plastic pad is (i think) glued on. I was thinking of cutting the stock to shape, but after reassessment of my abilities I decided against it.

If I can get someone good to do this, I'd also look to get the rifle pillar bedded at the same time.

Based in Dublin but willing to travel a bit to get the job done right.

Any advice welcome.

The first person that comes to mind each time is Pat Sluds in Enniscorthy. Excellent workmanship and reasonably priced.

There is also @gunhappy_ie . Not sure if he deals with that but I'd be surprised if he either couldn't do it or didn't know someone who could. He is in Cork.

Yes, Pat was recommended to me by a friend, but I've emailed and tried to call the number from the website, but not heard back yet. I will take a look at gunhappy_ie

Pat was, and it's been a while, slow to answer. I ended up going down to him and just walking in. Probably not recommended if you're traveling a distance but just fyi.
