Facebook automatically rejecting a report on something that clearly is breaking the rules.

Amazon acting the b*llox again. Paid for delivery of item to come yesterday. Noticed it wasn't dispatched at the usual time and waited a bit to call. Told it would be with me before 8pm. Back onto Amazon again and went through 3 agents on line, trying to cancel order and get refund. Had to phone them and told will get it cancelled and my refund will be processed. Email straight after to say they can't cancel and I will have to return item to get refund which can take over a 5 - 7 working days. Task this morning is to call back and try to cancel transaction and I see the item has been dispatched from the UK to arrive by an post.

Add to that I'm waiting on the electrician to call back from the council because of a faulty isolator switch on the hob. We cant cook meals on it till it's sorted.

    What else can go wrong

Not started yet, but it's around the corner.....the annual Ploughing Championship.

It seems to take over all the radio shows, as well as getting its fair share of time on tv and news shows.

i have an app / game for chess & draughts on my tablet. Had it on various devices for years. Had a game this morning just after updating the app, now all of a sudden, in the middle of a game a big add appears across the whole board in the middle of the game, have to countdown several seconds before it’s cancelable. I’ve slightly lost my train of thought for my next move…and no, I don’t want to buy a downdraught fan 🤪 whatever the heck that is,

TA #1 Deciding whether to put the heat on to ward off this chill Arctic air…

    Next week looks mild again.
    Hmm.

TA #2 I decide to put the heat on… now I have to recover my memories of how to use the fiddly timer for the gas, and figure out what times to programme in.

George Hamilton leaving RTÈ for Premier Sports. A very good commentator who has had a great enthusiastic ability to call and colour Irish sport from Soccer, Athletics and more besides…for 40+ years….

Hopefully some good up and comers to take his place…

I've been too busy to go home the past few days when I did make it back I was told it was my fault that the condensation in the microwave was my fault.

Ta ppl who don't know they have pre-moon syndrome and lash out illogically.

I’m meant to leave at 4.20 pm.

At about 4.15 pm, a torrential rain shower, 30 minutes later the deluge continues and I’m stuck here for another bit as it’s still way too heavy…and at my destination I have a 3 minute walk from an outdoor car park to the building….🙄 and it’s getting heavier as I type ffs.

That the Current Affairs thread seems to have caught whatever the Soccer thread had last weekend

My TA is that I know you quoted me in the post you deleted but I'll never know what you said.

The whole site is like a mammoth in a tar pit at this stage, tbh.

Maybe , but I think individual forums are just getting overloaded depending on what’s in the news . Though you’re probably right

No, it's a glitch between the thread index and page count when posts have been deleted \ moved. Discussed on Help Desk.

My current TA is extracting a USB key from its packaging… it says cut along this line. I did. No difference!

Tap terminals with prompts for tip with no 0% option

Especially for something like takeaway coffees

I basically said men who have a Grà for wearing black tie at there wedding.

Looking back in a few years they'll all look the same.

I also said when it's a black tie wedding for guests to.

I deleted it because I was unsure about quoting somebodies annoyance and I think I posted similar a few weeks back.

Got this in my Spam folder:

    image.png

Someone clearly just had an AI try and write this but never bothered to read this themselves.

I'd still **** myself if that came into my email.

Though I'd seriously doubt they'd give such warnings!

"We are taking legal action against you for: PAEDOPHILE!"

The letter also implies both that Irish "cyber police" look at indecent photos of children and that that's fine.

What does appropriation of data even mean? If I copy and paste a cool map I see for use as a desktop background, isn't that the same thing?

Yeah tbh my command of English isn't that great.

While I wouldn't reply by email I probably would go down to the station and report it (I know you are in the UK)

Ah, you're not appropriating cool maps for your desktop, as well as the paedophilia?!? 😲 That's disgraceful!!

    No worries.

That image is from the Ireland Reddit so hopefully someone reports it. I can't imagine they'd take anything an emigrant says too seriously.

got a letter from my GP with a form they filled out, I need to sign it and post it to a government contractor/agency…. Throw my eye over it. The section my GP is supposed to sign, he’s left blank but he filled out his sections and stamped it. I’m worried now if it lands on the desk of a strict civil servant/jobsworth I’ll have lost time and my place on the Q…. All because my GP was obviously in a hurry…. It wouldn’t either be a stretch to call what he did complete, practically illegible…. Fücks sake.

Ate crisps last night, was killed with indigestion in bed. Ate bread at lunch time and here we go again. I should really know better, when I stay away from them for a while it seems to effect me worse.

I was in the same boat but I don't know was it the bacon waffle crisps or the vegetable piazza.

Probably the piazza, too many cobblestones. :pac:

Your poor partner . . I'd imagine there was a fair bit of holding of nostrils and wafting of the quilt cover in bed last night was there . .

Nostalgia . . People farting on about how great life was years ago 'when we were growing up' compared to today. In reality, no . . it wasn't any fcuking better, it's just sentimental bollix viewed with rose tinted glasses.

TA is my new boiler has a low pressure error message - irish water constantly turning off water and then the whole system has to reload. It’s freezing cold and I cant work out which black switch to move to let water into the system - I’ve twisted them all and probably fecked the whole thing up. I’ll have to go to bed at 8.30pm to keep warm.

    Lack of personal responsibility.

Watching Prime Time, Miriam having a go at a minister saying the government let down a woman who had to leave the country cos her son had a drug debt.

No, it wasn't the government who let her down, it was her son. We all know the story with drugs, there is NEVER a good outcome of using drugs. So when you are on that night out, and you think about trying cocaine for the 1st time, think where it might end up. You might have guys chasing you for money, wrecking your home, your car, your parents house, your siblings house. Think about it, and if it's really worth the hit. And if your life turns to sh1t, it was YOUR decision to go down that road.

booking a chiropodist, one was recommended but I’m less than impressed.

website says €60 is the cost for the treatment / consultation. time allocated per consultation 20 minutes. Given most people have two feet its about 8 minutes per foot and 4 minutes for making payment / getting footwear on off etc / getting ready on the chair and out of it. Appointment times online show 20 so he ain’t padding for admin and payment or putting on shoes and getting in / out… Best case he might do a good job but you’ll certainly feel rushed…
