Apologies for being obtuse. On 2 counts. yes, most packets don't reseal.

But my main bug bear is that the end you open at, is the end furthest away from the top slice. So you have to open all the way at the very beginning.

Can't read a post that mentions me so assume we are at peak bork yet again. So soon?

Yeah, seems to be every packet ever packed has the contents arranged so you have to destroy the packet to get at the top slice. Why? You'd think the manufacturers had a grudge against their customers.

Before you open the packet, just jiggle it about so that the slices slide towards the corner/end you are opening. Usually works.

People within a certain group using what was traditionally a pejorative way of referring to them is a way of taking ownership of it and saying "Fcuk you" to people who have used it against them. Doesn't make it acceptable for people outside of those groups to continue to use, though.

Why is it always the giant mummy SUV's that are parked the worst in a carpark? You should have to do a special driving test to be allowed on the road in them. One in the supermarket here was only a quarter way into the space so therefore halfway blocking 2 driving lanes. Quite the feat!

Saw one with each wheel in a different space so taking up 4 spaces.

Look, be reasonable, those things are expensive. If you park in a single space the peasants with little cars* squish in beside them so you can't get in the door, and might scrape the side, its necessary to take up more spaces, its obvious.

*I wouldn't do a thing like that. Not often anyway.

The (Americanised) online contracts training I'm doing in work keeps using the phrase "alongside with". The utterly redundant "with" is getting on my last nerve.

Thanks I understand - I completely agree that society shouldn’t be using these terms but also I think the media should call out certain members of our own Irish ethnic minority (my arse) and name and shame them when they attack people at funerals with machetes, get caught on another persons property etc. Honest reporting without racial/sexist/ageist slurs.

Lidl not having a price on display for middle aisle items. I might buy it if I knew how much it cost.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,099 ✭✭✭The Continental Op

And the fact that their policy is to put the price above the item when everyone else puts it below!!!!

BOI app logging me out / times out as "inactive" after less than 60 seconds. Took four attempts to set up a payee.

Wifi at the gym not working, I can access the network fine but error messages when I try connect, no username or passwords ever required, you just hit ‘ connect ‘ on the app…Good data plan so I try use Spotify off 5G instead but at the centre of the facility especially the signal is lousy and buffering non stop.

I give up, remove headphones but the sound system has a playlist of the cringiest campy euro dance 🤮 at many decibels.. been like this for a while… must be by some eejit who likes ‘90’s campy techno making their playlist…not fun, especially at that level. Vary it ffs. Not rocket science !
