If the wiring in a house is dangerous, does anyone know are there any grants that you can get towards it?

Hi, there was a similar question raised around a week ago, but as far as I know this is all:

By the way, who declared it to be dangerous and what safety faults were noted?

There isn't a grant. Just about all grants are aimed towards saving the planet

You can talk to you local welfare officer as they can help out in genuine hardship cases. I don't know the level of help they give nowadays. Up to 2008 they would have covered most if not all of it.

Check with Citizens Advice Centre. There maybe other support services available depending on individual circumstances.

Does anyone know anything about the Housing Aid for Older People Grant, it says the grant can be used for essential repairs like a rewire. It is usually for people over 66 but it says on the Citizens Information website that 'in cases of genuine hardship the local authority may help people under the age of 66.' Does anyone know?
