    Am I going mad or did the safety car make a mistake picking up Verstapan? Max was 10 seconds behind Norris and then ended up over 30 allowing Lando to take a pit stop and come out and nearly lap the field? Cannot think of this happening before. Surely it would have been close with Max, Oscar and co if they had not being held up by safety car. Happy he won and Max didn't but just confused.

    Don’t think the safety car initially picking up Verstappen made a difference as Norris was already out by then and they were allowed go ahead and catch up with the leader.

    It’s good that Norris gets his first win with McClaren. Think there was a risk of that not happening.

    I think Max was 20-ish seconds behind Lando when the safety car picked Max up. I don't think that had an impact as croft said you lose 11 seconds or so pitting under the SC, so Lando would have still come out in the lead

    Lando hadn't pitted when Max was picked up or else he would have been right behind him. He nearly lapped the field. Pitstop is 10 secs ish under safety car, he was 10 ish ahead of Max at the time, with LeClerc etc 2 or 3 behind him but when he entered pits he was 30 seconds ahead of all them.

    Yea that's what I thought alright. Lando may have just about held track position, but wouldn't have been as clear cut.
