HI Just asking if anyone came across a good value sports car have 15k to spend.Own car out of action for a while always wanted to buy something sporty so now is the time so to have something to drive while waiting and the summer is coming or is it.

Unless you're going racing, I'd recommend a convertible.

You get a nice sensation of speed driving with the top down and still get to keep your licence.

You probably also want rear wheel drive, which narrows the list.

Mazda MX5, BMW Z4, maybe a Toyota MR2, but getting they seem to be getting very rare.

Nice example but the mark 3 MX5 isn't the best.

Also for about 3 grand extra you can get the Mark 4.

I'd hold out and pay another bit for the RF,that'll be my next car

Your budget will just get you into a second gen Z4 alright. They are much nicer and better built than the first gen.

I see nothing there about the VRT. Could assume it's being sold with all import costs paid and on Irish plates, but would want that confirmed.

Thats strong money for that S2000.

Theyre a lovely machine but that car has 10 owners since it was imported from the UK,probably a few owners before that aswell.

I wouldn't be buying any car with 12 or 13 owners!

Yes,they tick so many boxes,I have one as my daily driver (not an R though) I have the diesel version which is a more reliable engine and still pretty fast.

I'd hate to part with it and have no plans to but next up will be an MX5 RF when the time comes.

Mazda MX5 ND convertible with the 1.5, 131 HP, Skyactive engine. Low road tax, up to 5 liters/100 km or 50 mpg, and a lot more smiles per mile than any other similar car. It is also very light and very manoeuvrable, and heaps of fun.

Given the move to reduce speed on the road, less grunt does not mean less fun - just fewer fines and points.
