Sinead - 5FDP - just snuck in! Once I got over the fact it sounded like the singer from Crash Test Dummies trying to be tough, I did enjoy it

Liz - Nell Mescal - not much subtlety in the mix, is there? Everything to max! But it blasted in and carried me along with it. And bonus points for it being new (and Irish)

Strawbs - Ren - wow, this was a bit crazy! Jose Gonzalez mixed with Eminem. It definitely caught my attention and held it for a full 8mins. Really enjoyed that

Taurial - Slash - sounds like it would be cracking live. Didn't work recorded quite so well, but I still enjoyed it

Aris - Within Temptation - solid choice, liked it

2D - Andre Rieu - just prefer the original, didn't love her voice

As for my selection: I really got into Within Temptation ever since someone (possibly Tauriel??) posted one of their songs in a previous game. Really like their new album Bleed Out. And I added The Sound of Symphonic Metal Spotify playlist in my library, hoping to discover more bands in the same sound.

If you do go looking up more of his songs and come across “tale”, in the song title, the order is Jenny’s, Screech’s then Violet’s. First time listen HAS to be in that order imo.

My favourites from this round are 5FDP (Spears) and surprise, surprise Within Temptation (Irish Aris) 😛

Shock like of the round is Nell Mescal (Liz). I've heard of her before but never checked any of her stuff out. Nice song.

I really wanted to post a kind of introduction to Ben Bohmer for people. His best stuff for me though has no lyrics. Ben is an amazing artist producing superb tunes.

his magnum opus for me is a track called After Earth

That set that Cappadocia is taken from was live in a hot air balloon above Cappadocia, Turkey. An incredible spectacle and part of why I submitted that piece.

@SineadSpears Fantastic song choice of course. FFDP can be a bit heavy for some ears but they always have a great message in their songs. My take from this one, is that even with all this demons, he's taking responsibility for how his life is - ''I can't say the devil made me do it. I chose to be the one I am, the way I am today''.

@StrawbsM Absolutely love this! When it first came out we were playing another of these games and funnily, I instantly thought of @Electric Nitwit and that he may have appreciated it. I hoped I could squeeze it into one of the categories but it just didn't fit. I also was afraid it wouldn't be considered ''a song, song'' and it woudl have broke my little heart if it got slated because I think it's great. Delighted to see it pop up now ☺️
