You're more likely to have luck with your local dealer than a dealer foreign to you. Having said that, if your local dealer is something the likes of Amsterdam, forget it.

I went down the same road last year and found reveriewatches.net really useful to get a sense of current market prices before making any moves. They’re handy for comparing what's out there and noticing patterns in availability without needing to register. Helped me feel a bit more confident before chatting with the AD.
