Next year will be more interesting again

I would assume Marquez will be doing what Bagnaia is doing now

I don’t get the hate for a race like that, I enjoyed it anyway.

For it to pop up on every site about the boring race is a bit of a joke.
do they expect wheel to wheel racing every week?
We wouldn’t appreciate the good ones then.
I would rather watch who ever is the best ride off into the sunset at their peak , than have the races engineered to bring them all closer.

I thought that at the start of the year too,

But Pecco is damn good, I can’t warm to him for some reason, but there is no denying he is damn quick and is very impressive, maybe going head to head regularly with Marc next year will help that.

We need Marc at the front tho, he is the money and it will be exciting when he is there for all the good and wrong reasons.

Good to see that Sprint winner today. Hopefully they'll do the double.

perfect weekend for MM , a bit of maturity /Patience shown from Martin and a nasty looking crash for Pecco, although he seemed to be ok afterwards so all good.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,203 ✭✭✭drury..

You'd fancy Marquez for next year based on this

He will be the best out there if he's on the best machinery no doubt

Big wobble on the start and dangerous accident later for pecco

Along with Marc ,Acosta will be in the mix if KTM can sort the bike out , and with a super team including Brad/Maverick and the Beast ,there are no excuses next season .

Dominant performance from Marc, other riders who our performed their bikes at various stages over the weekend were Fabio Quatararo (Diggie also impressed riding with an injury), Rins and Zarco.

Martin ,despite a rush of blood to the head on lap 1 , kept calm and now has a 23 point lead on Pecco ,Gigi did not look happy at the end of the race.

Misano ,a Pecco circuit ,this weekend to look forward to.

impressive by Marc, thought it would come quicker than that for him, be interesting now if he keeps that up, if he does then it’s ominous for the rest next season.
I still think he is a that bit better than the rest.
Although impressed with Martin for keeping him honest, Marc could of pushed more if needed tho.

As for Pecco, I dunno what everybody else thinks but he could have avoided that, he had Alex anytime he wanted, not the first time he has done similar, and as for saying that Alex did it on purpose , I highly doubt it , if it was the other brother then I wouldn’t totally dismiss it :-D.
gone down in my estimation for that, I have a feeling he will crumble next year with Marc in the garage, don’t see Marc playing his nicey nice game and giving him opinion on things he hasn’t tried out to save him doing it.

Agree on Acosta along with Marc , I think he can/ has the potential to do things others can’t given the right bike.

Pecco and Martin are at their peak at the moment, Acosta and Marc have more to come.

If Yamaha up their game, then Fabio could race with Pecco, Martin, whether he could make a step ahead like Marc did the weekend, I dunno.

    What a difference a day makes !

Jorge has taken full responsibility for the bike swap as the rain drops started to fall , but it has also transpired that Pramac had not discussed the options if the rain returned, but surely do what Pecco does is the only option when fighting for a championship.

Conditions perfect for Marc and he delivered again , his dedication to Fausto (Gresini) was heartfelt as he continues to refer to the Gresini team as his 'family '.

Great moto 2 and moto 3 races,

    Tomorrow is the first test of '25 ;

Marc should get his first taste of a GP25 , although improvements to his GP23 are also expected which should bring the bike (s) to Valencia spec.

As an aside Repsol has confirmed the end of its relationship with Honda ,both Repsol Hondas pulling out of today's race - what a difference a year makes for Marc !

Hodgson would drive ya up the wall with his need for constant drama

martin got that horribly wrong and that look out as he was entering the pits from him with no one else following said it all !!!

on a side note Topraks crash in wsbk was horrible but luckily didn't end worse , you'd wonder what the **** that "wall" was doing there.

Great last few laps in the MotoGP too

Jorge Martin (Prima Pramac Racing) cruised to a redemptive victory in a chaotic race around Mandalika, retaining his championship lead ahead of Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati Lenovo Team).

That other langer Gavin Emmett and Nigel Hodgson are so annoying. They are like two guys having a chat in a pub with the race on the TV in the background. So many things happen during the main motoGP race they never comment on. They are so obsessed with M. Marquez even when he is out of the race. I've never heard two more bias commentators. Bagnia & Martin might as well be coming in last positions as far as their broadcasting goes.

    Phillips Island delivers again,

Classic Moto GP with a bit of tear off drama and a last lap battle in Moto 2 with a bit of old fashion fairings bashing.

Also have to highlight the Women's circuit racing finale where Maria Herrera applied the 'black arts ' of old and provided a tense drama filled finale.

Great to see Mia Rusthen in attendance, Mia was in an induced coma following a crash in round one of the season, now on the road to recovery and a return to racing.

Topraks 'alien 'pod was the best celebration of the weekend.

WSBK 2025 testing this coming week ,while Moto GP heads to Buriam Thailand.

Nice seeing Doohan and Ago doing a few laps too

Great MotoGP race today and a big step towards the championship for one of those involved.

Seems to be up in the air whether there will be a Valencia race, Could it change to a different race track? They'd probably go for somewhere close to valencia for convenience. What do you think?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,847 ✭✭✭Infoanon

Already confirmed- finale in Barcelona, a track where Pecco has shone and Jorge has struggled......

Still Jorge has this in the bag , a win in the sprint and he's champion

Opening laps between Pecco and Jorge were breath taking, Moto 2 and 3 good as well.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,533 ✭✭✭XsApollo

what’s the story with tickets for Barcelona then?

    Do Valencia tickets transfer over?

I might head over for that if I could get tickets.

It may all go down to the wire in the MotoGP racing tomorrow in Valencia!

How many think that Martín will win the World Championship in the sprint race on Saturday or will it continue on to the main race on Sunday?

Nakajima tops the first session and Zarco comfortably into Q2 qualifying tomorrow, not ignoring the pace of Vinales and Aleix.

The Solidarity race aka Barcelona is going to bring a few surprises and I expect Pecco Vs Martin to go down to the main race on Sunday.

9th or better tomorrow for Martin to take the championship. So long as he avoids binning it that should be a wrap.

Good to see SG back this weekend

Just thinking exactly that watching the build up.

Ya he brings a different dimension to the punditry

Sometimes a bit of overlap with mlavs technical knowledge

Anything better than wall to wall hodgson although he seems a sound enough guy there's too much drama

I see mlav racing have a 2nd rider an oshea

It'll be a surprise if there isn't fireworks here with what's at stake

As the Moto 2 and Moto 3 races have already shown today , anything can happen…The Ducati and VR46 riders Vs Aprilla and the Spanish armada is going to make this spicy , expecting Pecco to try and back up the field, though that back fired on the last corner for Maria Herrera a few weeks ago , this is going to be a nail biter.

As an aside , Moto GP sprint races will be shown live on Quest from 2025.

Concerning news from KTM that such is their financial deficit (3 Billion) , development work on the Moto GP prototype bikes has been halted until February '25.

Apparently there were very few new parts to test at Barcelona.

Dorna are said to be concerned, the hope is that the closure of the Moto GP team would be far more damaging financially hence it's better to keep it going, with additional support from Red Bull ?
