Had hoped to bank with an eye on AFCON/Asian cup.

Digne and Lascelles injured, will wait and see who to bring in.

Trippier to TAA done. He's rising in price tonight too for anyone tight on funds.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,594 ✭✭✭macraignil

Thinking I am better off now taking a hit to get him in as my team will need an early new year wild card if I don't improve it now. Can go Trippier and Gordon to TAA and Garnacho.

For those struggling for funds for TAA, I think VVD is decent option as well, TAA has found him 4/5 times in last few games from corners so is bound to get a goal or two. Doubling up in also a decent strategy imo

Need to start unloading my AFCON/ Asian Cup players so Hwang to Bowen but he is set to rise tonight so may have to pull the trigger

Had to go Digne to VVD, TAA would have meant all my budget used, need some money to upgrade Lascelles.

Looking at a city defender, Stones or Gvardiola depending on who starts tonite

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,110 ✭✭✭fplfan12345

Hush now. Planning on Stones in to replace Lascelles.

Hoping to get Haaland back in. Presumed it'd be a short term thing on Solanke but not ditching him with his form so it'll be Archer out and a strong front 8.

Salah to Saka and Archer to Haaland gets me setup for AFCON.

Probably upgrade Kabore and hold onto Son while he's away.

Flying the past few weeks, up to 8k OR

    Nice scoring.

Is there any indication Haaland will be back for GW20 though?

Surely if he is not on the bench tonight, there's no chance he'll not be starting on Saturday.

Haven't seen anything apart from the training pics. Hoping for a 15 minute cameo tonight to encourage me

Haaland not even in the squad, makes planning a bit easier now for GW20.

Doubt we'll see him until the Newcastle game on Jan 13.

Digne 1 point haul off the bench for me so 🥳

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,640 ✭✭✭✭Green&Red

Might go Solanke -> Alvarez if there's any news on Haaland

I'd be worried about Stones minutes given he's now gone off injured

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,110 ✭✭✭fplfan12345

Yeah. Better before I get him in. He does seem to get injured easily.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,640 ✭✭✭✭Green&Red

    Premier sports reckons ligament damage.

Walker or Gvardiol I guess. OR else Gusto and save the cash

With Liverpool playing on the 1st does that mean get rid of Salah now? When Does son leave?

Are people holding off getting Haaland back in again this week? Pep made it sound like he won’t be available and surely won’t start if not in the squad last night? It will work out nicely being able to hold on to Salah for his last week before AFCON.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 313 ✭✭The Guru 123

Yeah I don’t see how you could buy Haaland this week to be honest.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,697 ✭✭✭sheroman01

Castagne to TAA, unless Haaland is miraculously available in time.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,090 ✭✭✭Mr Crispy

I have only one FT so most likely going to roll this week.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,412 ✭✭✭✭Fitz*

Liverpool ha e confirmed that Salah will be available for the Newcastle game but goes to the AFCON after that.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,437 ✭✭✭shmeee

More than likely will roll, main issue is who to start out of Ricky, Palmer, Sterling or Solanke? One of Chelsea assets likely benched. Ricky was poor last night but had plenty of chances he could have converted to goals on another night.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,466 ✭✭✭Shedite27

Have a FT to use now with Hasland switch delayed a week

Gonna either upgrade Kabore to Gusto (nice fixtures) VVD, or Estupinan

or else bring in Areola - 3 CSs in a row for West Ham and easier fixtures now

2 fts, Gordon to Bowen will be one and need to sell Trippier to fund it. Already have Saliba, Gabriel, Trent and Porro so eyeing up a cheap option that won't be starting much . Gusto seems popular but Chelsea are awful, Branthwaithe might be a better long term option.

Thinking of bringing Raya in for my 1 free transfer. Dubravka hasn’t worked out with Newcastles form. I’m very torn on what player to leave on the bench from Salah/Son/Richarlison/Saka/Palmer/Watkins/Alvarez/Solanke

I've the exact same issue with who I will bench. As of now I'm thinking Sterling. What you feeling? That spurs defence is awful so Slonake has to get a start.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,859 ✭✭✭✭extra gravy

Went early on Estupinan in the end, will likely bench this week and then unleash him in 21.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,412 ✭✭✭✭Fitz*

Thinking maybe Son-> Bowen, or roll.

It would be Saka but it's a decent opportunity to sell Son before the Asian Cup.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 705 ✭✭✭Newbie20

I’m actually giving strong consideration to benching Saka! He’s doing very little but I do have a nagging feeling that he’ll finally deliver. If not Saka probably Palmer though again I’m reluctant to do so.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 39,428 ✭✭✭✭eagle eye

I think Raya is a good move.

Your decision on who to leave out is very tough. I think I'd leave Richarlison out, Bournemouth are playing great football. He could have a great day but I think it's less likely he does than the rest.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,383 ✭✭✭✭gammygils

Right! Ended up taking a hit, had done Hwang to Bowen on Wednesday night pre price changes but did Isak to J.Alvarez for a -4 tonight

    Hope it pays off

Very torn on benching too. Think it’s down to Hwang v Palmer but it’s a very tough call. Think I’ll leave it until as late as possible to call it, any recommendations?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,110 ✭✭✭fplfan12345

I wouldn’t find it difficult to start Palmer over Hwang.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,110 ✭✭✭fplfan12345

    Gabriel, Porro, Gusto

    Saka, Salah, Son, Palmer,

    Watkins, Solanke, Alvarez

    subs - Estupinan, Branthwaite, Gordon

Im happy to leave Gordon last but I really want to start Estupinan but currently can’t justify dropping any of the first 11 out.

I see lots of people have benching headaches this gameweek.

edit - I’m most tempted to drop Gabriel for Estupinan

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,951 ✭✭✭✭Ace2007

Hwang got two goal in his last game away from home - 10 league goals this season. Last home game before he goes to Asian cup - I’d be playing him. Although I would also play palmer - at a guess there is someone else in the front 7 that should be benched based on form

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,951 ✭✭✭✭Ace2007

Luton have scored in each of the last 6 games scoring like 11 goals - wouldn’t be too certain of a Chelsea CS. Think they have one CS in last 10 games or there abouts. But on the flip side Brighton have had no CS this season and Dunk is missing this GW so maybe not best time to be starting Estu.

a reason to start Gordab would be that he probably hates Liverpool from his Everton days so will be pushing to score against them

I know you think Saka isn’t worth the money on current form. Would you bench him today vs Palmer/Richarlison/ Watkins/ Solanke? Im finding it very hard to make this call. ( def playing Son Salah Alvarez). My biggest mini league rival has Palmer and doesn’t have Saka.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,437 ✭✭✭shmeee

Watkins didn't fire recently, both Saka and Ricky had big chances of goals last GW. Both should have came away with a minimum of a goal. Drop Palmer then seems the call maybe? Watkins and Solanke v poor defences. Luton are sticky at home and I'm benching Sterling (I've him over your Saka in same situation).

No Haaland again as per FPL Toni.
