You need an import from the DoJ, customs will have a field day with at Dublin airport, and I've no idea on the legalities of taking them from the US on a plane.

The US customs will probably leave you on the plane from Texas and let Bruce know that you’re arriving in Dublin airport with a suitcase full of ammunition that you’re not supposed to have.

Biden has temporarily banned all civilian export of ammunition though.

If you're lucky. As well as federal and local State law, airports can be complicated places with bye laws etc.

A good friend if mine , who had both US and Irish licences, spend some time explaining himself at JFK in a very similar situation some years ago. They eventually let him on his way hours later but Gun and ammo became property of Uncle Sam.

JFK and NYC are absolute no no's to travel with firearms and ammo even for Americans to travel thru.
