Can't locate pressure valve for gas boiler!!

    Hi all

We just moved into a new house last week, we bled the radiators without even thinking bout the gas boiler. We realised afterwards and checked, the pressure is basically zero. It's still firing up but we need to raise the pressure up again. We can not locate the valve ANY where!

It's a Worcester green star 24i only installed this year, we looked online obviously, the videos state to increase pressure there is 3 options:

1.There is either a Small blue switch inside, which we don't have.

    2. you can use an internal key, there's no key or even a key hole to insert it in like it shows in the videos.

    3. Lastly it could be an external valve or filler hose, we checked the hot press (that's where it was in our old house)

What else can we do?! We don't want to call a plumber for something so simple. Where else can it be?! 😭

In my last house upstairs beside one of the pipes near the immersion tank, toggle switch hold off for 5/10 seconds usually did the trick before opening up again. Do look for one of those around the building somewhere

There is 2 levers that say on and off one is hot and one is cold, we were to scared to touch them though, I would imagine one turns off heat to the Rads, not sure about the other. I thought it was usually a little black valve you turn and it releases pressure for a few seconds?

If you can upload photos of the hotpress we can double-check? You might have an open/low-pressure system and maybe it's only topped up from the tank in the attic. What was the pressure at previously?

I'm in a similar situation, new ideal logic boiler 12 months ago. no filling loop on/under the boiler, can't find anything in the hot press. The water is fed from an open expansion tank in the attic. we had one rad that was stone cold so i bled them all and now the pressure is very low although the heating does still work?

Ring the installer. Most will be happy to talk you through it over the phone. He'll be hoping to get you as a regular for the annual service. If service is due (it would be on a 12 month old boiler) then book a service & get him to show you how to top up the system while he is there

Get an installer to come and help, and give it a quick checking over. Its a safer bet than wrecking your system by running on low pressure - which can blow out parts, even if it costs you the call out fee.
