What’s the difference between Dubai and Abu Dhabi?

The people in Dubai don’t like the Flintstones, but the people in Abu Dhabi do.

Button made the point I think after the race the last day that Abu Dhabi is a very similar track to Vegas in that it has long straights and plenty of 90 degree turns. I didn't think Ferrari would be able to over-turn the deficit to Mercedes but it looks now (4 points) like they will barring a disaster from them, which of course is never out of contention. 4th place in the drivers is probably the only other battle watching out for, both Sainz and Alonso on 200 with Norris on 195. I wouldn't completely discount Charles from pipping them all, he's on 188. Aside from that not much worth talking about really. Max will cruise to the win you'd imagine, with the Ferrari's and Checo battling it out for the podium. Wouldn't surprise me to see Hamilton doing well either.

His reaction speaks volumes about his general character, or maybe his "entitlement". I genuinely did not see either car try to push him against the wall. If anything the car in front went to the left to allow him go through.

Just watched the highlights there. I think he's dead right tbh. Cars moving out slowly seem to be doing so of their own accord. Rules have been changed recently to state that if you're driving out slowly then stick to the left and allow cars to pass. He's well within his rights and it's a great deterrent for people driving out slowly like that, of which Max was a culprit not so long ago.

You are allowed to overtake in the pitlane and it's why you are supposed to keep left. I don't think Verstappen done anything wrong as such but kind of forced his way through a bit.

Excellent performance from Drugovich in FP1, I do think he's wasted as a reserve driver at Aston

I was thinking how good Max has been this season. I thought there was visible shift in his mindset after winning his WDC in 2021.

Then a stat that he is only driver to have completed every lap of racing this year. He has hardly put a foot wrong in 2 years. He's in a league of his own.

He’s a bit like Schumacher in that respect - makes very few mistakes over a whole season. And if he does make one it usually doesn’t cost him that much. Very impressive.
