    No worries at all.

As I said mods can delete if they wish, just I'd seen others trying to shift camping tickets etc earlier.

Not a new poster so no issues with being genuine on my end

god will the fomo ever go away!!! Thought I’d be grand after being at ATN but Jaysus the fomo is ridiculous

Wishing everyone a safe and great time….all our giving out about ep….there is nothing like it and it’s a guaranteed unbeatable weekend.

Packing the car for tomorrow. I'm playing on both Friday and Saturday this year, so for the first time since Oxegen 2008 I'll have to camp. Please tell me it's not as bad as I remember!

Am looking forward to it nonetheless, always a nice atmosphere, and getting paid to attend is always a bonus.

I assume it's not freeflow in to Salty Dog tonight, but just checking before I head in?

    edit: it's not

Noticed that there was no restriction in terms of coming in with drink in the 2nd car run( saw others but dragged it all in frst time). Have the rules changed?

No need for fomo. Prodigy blaring in the van, sucking cans like nobodies business in a field before showing the stradbally natives why they should be locking up their daughters. Faithless tomorrow. Wish I was u.

Have they not given you access to the guest and performer campsite or if you're on some of the smaller stages a backstage camping area? If you're in general I find the current crop of late teens and early twenties are actually pretty restrained. It'll still be messy but less than it might have been 15 years ago.

On an unrelated point, I took a stroll along the Hendrix food vendors on my way to Aldi. With a couple of exemptions they reminded me of something from the 1980's or they were priced to make the reported Kinara and SuperMacs prices look affordable.

They've a few charity donation return bins around the arena and I saw a group in hi-vis retrieving cans from bins. I don't know if these were charity volunteers or people doing it for their own benefit. If I was being judgemental I'd say they were the former.

Yes, it's a different campsite, so might be a big quieter than the general one, I hope!

Possibly stupid question but is there wristbands for the camper area? I'm going in on my own tomorrow night but there will be people staying in the camper with me for the weekend who will already be there, will they need wristbands or is it just treated like another campsite?

Feckin bouncing with excitement here, wallopers, doctors and Kasabian 3 in a row Saturday night, I'm gonna explode

Same thing happened to myself and herself a few years back, think it was near the Heineken dance bar thingy and the couple were still there when I went back to get drinks a while later. Awkward. 🤣

I'm intruiged as to what sort of tent they had? I mean if your going to be inviting people back you're going to want to be impressing them, not headed back to a disposable popup from Dealz 🤣

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,524 ✭✭✭fourmations

I don't think the "pop up" they were after was tent related!! 😂

Safe travels all & here’s to a good one on the rolling hills of Stradbally! 🍻

Oh, lest I forget! @Mucker46 every year you sort us out with a clash finder that is faultless! It is very much appreciated, you are owed many, many drinks!! Cheers! 🍻

Sounds like you are a veteran like meself. I'm probably not going to Kasabian this weekend with the clash with kneecap cos I caught their debut album at oxygen. It's Thursday night/Friday morning here...I will say this, I'm shocked at how full it is already and I'm wondering how will others fit? I'm talking about Hendrix and Warhol mostly. It's going to be squashed Fri eve. Best of luck everyone 🤜🏻🤛🏻

100% incorrect - ToF “people” all pitch their own tents and most definitely do not get free posh camping! Not quite sure where your misinformation comes from but generally it’s best to fact find before posting!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 2,213 ✭✭✭Mucker46

Thanks but big thanks to @darzog who did it for many years before I started last year

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 283 ✭✭Reded

Again incorrect! ToF does not provide food to any performers or Melvin - all food cooked in ToF goes to regular punters who come to the shows same for the drinks theatre!

Have a great time everyone. The kids have been taken away. Got a few days freedom ahead and going to make the most of it. The weather looks like it has worked out for us all. It's **** here!!!! Let's go bitches.

Having switched from EP to ATN back in 2018/19, but still always enjoy the build up to both festivals on these threads, have an absolute blast everyone and keep safe (sounds like there's already a warning about some extra strong substances going around!).

The lineup is awful, for me personally, so no FOMO here, but the plus side of this I find is where you make random discoveries of people/bands you'd have never bothered with possibly before, the joy of music and this thread with the lovely people making recommendations.

Looking forward to all the updates during and after!

Belvin Menn is still a twat though.

Arrived last night, signage for Pink Moon/Moonlight meadows non existent. For those in Red car park heading to PM you get your wristbands before you exit the car park. You can then walk down the abeyleix road rather then the path s. Enter via campervan gate. Follow the path veering right. 4 person tent seems smaller than before

Coming down the M7 there and passed 2 D-reg, N-plate cars clapped out in the hard shoulder, and one bus too. But no actual difficulty at any of the junctions signposted for the picnic. Sounds from the radio that the backlog is more so on approach to Stradbally; it was 40-50 minutes delay in all directions through Stradbally yesterday afternoon.

Do you still come via athy to get into the yellow carpark? Seen someone say the timahoe road is closed and that's the road we usually go down.
