Carlos and Sainz have equal status in Ferrari as far as I know... its more about common sense and good Team management. No way Leclerc should have been allowed to fight for the last few laps.

Sainz may have cracked Leclerc's main strong suit ... ie his qualifying pace. Carlos was consistenly faster all weekend.

I don't think either are potential World Champions but I do think that Sainz is the smarter Grand Prix racer. Might be the World Champion stock of his father.

In a way being the leader around here can be a bit of a curse, you're the one punching a hole in the air, using up your tyre wear while everyone behind is just basking in your slipstream. Sainz and LeClerc are quite evenly matched, even though the stats do lean over to Charles a bit more.

    This too shall pass.

That is 2 good races on the bounce now. Max showing again and again, even with changeable conditions and a tougher competitor, he is the class of the field.

Has to be said as well, operationally that Red Bull are also on another level this year. Pitstops are always rocket fast, right calls at the right time, set up is bang on.

This is Schumacher-Ferrari stuff. Just the best mixture of driver and team.

Enjoyed this with Palmer. Shows how desperate both of the drivers moves were at stages.

Leclerc didn't put Max under any pressure, he just hung back, nursed his tires. If he was attacking Max, he would have taken the pressure off Sainz. His Job IMO would have been to try and pass Max, defend and try to build a lead for Sainz.

Have to agree here. Leclerc only began pushing when he was trying to get past his team mate. Is he considered the No 1 driver in Ferrari?
