"36 is the new 26" - Says All time Grand Slam record holder Novac Djokovic on his defeat of Jannik Sinner, to proceed to the final of what could be his 8th Wimbledon victory.

    Need I remind people? Was he the poster-boy for "Anti-vaxxers", "Right-wingers", "Toxic-Masculinicists", "Pro-Russian hate-groups"?

Or did he just want to play tennis?

People were denied access to restaurants, bars, events, travel based on their medical history! Djokovic appeared to be the only voice of reason.

Some boards.ie posts at the time:

"And he wouldn't be "snubbing" anyting as he wouldn't be welcome to start with. Hes shìtting on his own legacy and nothing else"

"public health is more important than a game of tennis"

"This whole fiasco just shows how divisive the vaccine is among people it brings out the worst in everyone"

"I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if it emerges over time that it was more than a diet change that saw Novak eventually dominate the sport. Which makes his anti-vax stance even more brain-dead"

Time for Djokovic to return to his throne and let light disinfect the poison of the last three years, let us never go there again! Let's go Djokovic!
