@gn3dr did you end up ordering from that Italian site? any issues? I am looking for an r8000 groupset at the moment.

    Hi

Yes I did and it all arrived OK and I fitted it with no issue. The only quirky thing I found was that the front derailleur set up was more involved compared to the retro stuff I was used to (7800 Dura Ace on the summer bike) but as regards the shop and delivery - all was fine. And I decided to use the R8000 chainset also rather than keep using my DA 7800. (I still think the 7800 chainset is peak design though and I still have it in a box. )

I actually was thining about looking for a second groupset recently - I left my winter bike on Dura Ace 7700 10 speed but changed the shifters to Sensah Phi to get rid of the side exit Sti cables but keep the same 10 speed shift ratio. Works OK but they are SRAM double tap movement which I'm not all that crazy about.

The big thing I like with the R8000 over the Dura Ace 10 speed is the speed of shift between cogs - mainly down to the closer distance between the cogs. Didn't think that would make all that much diference but I do notice it.

R8000 it's fab alright. And I've just put dura ace 9100 mechanical on a bike and it is gloriously good.
