Spray for Thistles

What's people's thoughts on an effective spray for Thistles that won't break the bank.

I know Thistlex is the first that comes to mind or the brilliant Forefront T but both of these are quite expensive.

So looking for other recommendations if anyone has had success with other products.

Would any of the following be any good or what else could I use ?

Mortox 50

Hygrass

Agroxone 50 from hygiea is recommended for most thistles and plenty of other common grassland weeds I've put it out this week on recommendation from the local co op and was not outrageous in price 90bucks for 10lts at a rate of 2.7lt to the ha. Only put it out 2 days ago so don't know how good or bad it will hit them, but I've a super crop after not spraying the last few years so wil be interesting to see how they get on

Definitely are, after 4 days they have had a nice steady decline in life, a slow kill rate I'd say I'm very happy as it should travel to the root and hopefully get a better overall kill rate. It Has got the better of the few bunches of nettles too that I passed on my travels so hopefully that will be the end of them too. It has checked the docks but don't think it will kill them as they still look healthy enough bar a bit of wilting.

i used both thislex and mcpa last year in two heavily infested fields. Got a great kill in both but I see a few returning in mcpa field.

I have bought pasture pack for the exact same thing as I could be only get thislex in 1ltr

6 days on and they are dying off nicely very happy with the results
