anyone fill out the 23-24 applications yet or where can we access them as id like to get it out of the way asap

I tried a week or so ago but the 2022/2023 season forms were still up. Just checked again now and it's still last season's forms. When I ask for 2023/2024 I get the link to last/this season.

If it's the same as last year the NPWS will unleash a new season form which we're required to fill out online, they declined to accept applications on the old form. My recollection from last year was that it became available the last week in March. To their credit the new licences were granted very efficiently thereafter.

Yeah, they were fairly quick in acknowledging and sending them out so I'm not concerned.

Will just check the site weekly to see if and when the new forms are available.

I would just rather get it done with rather than leave it as at least then it's out of the way and more time to think about other things

Just submitted mine, we'll see how long it takes to receive the licence. The NPWS are about a week ahead of last year, good for them!🦌

Just an FYI if you are copying details from last year's application, it is a different email address to send it to this year: deerlicences@npws.gov.ie

Last year it was  deerlicences@housing.gov.ie

Well the NPWS are very efficient this year, received my licence for 2023/4 in this mornings post, 10 days. An excellent service!🍾

Good post this morning, deer licence for next season and a firearm licence renewal arrived!

Applied for deer licence via email on March 26th.

Paid the €80 for the firearm on Friday just gone.

Received my License this morning. 7 days turnaround time. Excellent. Sent it in last Wednesday so including the weekend, and postage its processed within a couple of days and sent out.

Makes you wonder why it wasn't done like this for years or what would we be doing if Covid didn't force this method.

Had incredible quick turnaround for section 42 application this year. I think the deer overpopulation is causing real concern now.
