Someone's going to have to explain whatever joke is baked into the use of parentheses there.... #old

I had originally gone with three o's and then went and checked and discovered it was 4. I decided to only partially give the last o back because of the hassle.

Munster to win. Leinster to say ' you only beat us because we played our b team (featuring 28 lions)

    27.

Edit: my 3 year old niece hasn't played for the lions yet. Next year.

Is aloooooooooof collecting zeros for every consecutive Leinster win over Munster in the league?

    Naughty syd. Two thumbs up!

They’re O’s. Representative of how much I yawned while reading that. ;)

Friendly reminder for everyone, I believe the etiquette is for a bit of leeway in the build-up, but less so when the match kicks off, please and thank you.

It’s an O for every time Leinster win in Europe.

The Four O's of Aloooof. An old poem that roughly translates as:

Oh, do you remember when Leinster lost a really good coach and hired Matt O'Connor? Who leaves this season?

Oh, do you remember when Leinster lost a really good ten and brought in Jimmy Gopperth? Who retires this season?

Oh, is it becoming too common that Leinster dominate pool stages and lose in the final?

    Oh, do empires eventually fall...

I suppose we have to get through this, till we get to the genuine rivalry next week.

    Leinster by 50

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,949 ✭✭✭gameoverdude

That's disappointing. I thought Leinster would put out a strongish team.

I will post something from the Munster fans’ viewpoint, could someone please post something similar in terms of a rundown of the Leinster squad this week with a likely 23 along with their likely approach to this match with regard to URC campaign, off the back of Autumn Internationals and Champions’ Cup and injuries, high minutes played by any key players and players fresh back from injury and new talent coming through? And anything else that would be of interest, talking points e.g. the match being a sell-out and back to its traditional slot, as well as the current opinion on Munster V Leinster lacking the competitive level now seen between Leinster and Ulster.

So Munster will do better than Gloucester? Big call.

There once was a fly-half called Sexton,

Whose play was quite simply perfection,

    His skills were so great,

He led his team to a state,

    Of victory and sheer satisfaction.

On the other hand, there was a player named O'Gara,

Whose talent and skills were a honour to honour,

He led his team with aplomb,

And his kicking skills were truly the bomb,

Leaving his opponents in utter disaster.

Home advantage counts for a few points I’m sure.

I think this counts as the first mod warning on the thread...

Can we pin a tracker to the top of the thread for cards and warnings and call it the spicy meter?

Spicy meter before the game and bitter meter after the game !!

Heart says Munster will put up their best showing that we'll have seen in some time, and hopefully give the crowd something to be proud of.

Head says, if I'm a betting man, I'm taking Leinster 1-12.

Though the Leinster scrum looks to be a real area to potentially target, especially with John Ryan in the sort of form that elicits felonious assault from opposition forwards.

wasnt RG Snyman mooted back in november to be fit enough for December / Stephens day?

any latest on his injury apart from "still rehabbing"? Times running out for him to make an impact in the pool stages of europe.

on this game, i think it will be a very close game. Ive a feeling leinster might end up sending a fairly shadow squad to thomond, load up for the home game against connacht in the RDS and then shadow again away to ospreys before loading up for glaws away.

The last I had heard a few weeks ago (and it sounded speculative) was February. Hoping he can return the same player, but really looking forward to seeing him in the flesh.

Can you imagine if we'd had two years of Snyman madness in the URC. Massive loss and very unfortunate.

Don't know how to call this game. Leinster's comeback victory against Ulster really strengthened their hand this season. It increased their lead at the top which now allows them to test and rotate players and not fear losing their league position. I'd like to see us go with the 'Champions Cup 15' for this fixture, but I think a rotated side could probably do the job.
