Ah you'd rarely be at the main stage anyway (if ever) 😉

Fred Again really is a steaming turd of epic proportions.

Warpaint being Warpaint. Great live band. Fugazi cover a bonus.

Seems to have recovered quickly from his sore throat all the same

Garbage they are. All over the place. How they are headlining tonight over the last two acts is criminal.

The arctic monkeys were great, when they first headliner must be near 15 years ago. Now they are just a bit too cool for school, and boring.

Alex Turner could do with a good kick in the balls. They showed footage before the set from their earlier Glastonbury gigs, I wonder what his younger self would think if you showed him this.

Going from stage to stage was harder, it rained the only time I was there !

Sitting on a chair in the mud drinking cider looking at Maximo Park, good memories....

It all went South that night...hmmm

His voice has become a parody of itself or something.

The 2013 set was my all time favourite. Rinsed it for years.

The weird energy of the last two albums has seeped into the older tunes live now too.

Do they ever do anything different with their songs..I like the tunes but could be listening to them on the radio...not grabbing me as an amazing live act.

There’s just nothing new with this arctic monkeys set, it’s same as last time they headlined. Their last few albums have been too weird and slow, so they have to do mostly the old songs in concert. And they don’t have any stage gimmick so it’s all about the music. I’ve seen it all before a few times and it was better when we were all younger. This Friday night was crying out for 1975 headliner.

    The Monkeys are gack..

Good to see a band that is all about the music and no gimmicks. Enjoying this. Although I've enjoyed all their albums tbf.

Saw them in 2014 at a festival, and when your enjoying yourself and drinking lots in that location, you'll probably dance around to anything....they were somehow so dull I just had to leave. In 9 years they've managed to make it worse

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,920 ✭✭✭micar

    Exactly.....boring.

I was at the Malahide gig when they released their first album.

They were quite raw ....in a good way.

    It's all too polished.

I wish stop with the Elvis impersonation.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,464 ✭✭✭Royale with Cheese

I didn't like their earlier stuff, don't like their recent stuff, but AM was an absolutely brilliant album. He's absolutely butchering one of the best songs on it now though. Jesus this is brutal. I really hope he's on some strong drugs which may go some way to explaining whatever this is.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,575 ✭✭✭SteM

No gimmicks? This whole act is a gimmick, they've become a parody of themselves ffs.

Can't wait for the presenters to try and convince themselves, and the viewers, that this was a 'classic glasto headline act'.

Seriously what is this shite? Is it a bet to see can he put everyone to sleep?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,830 ✭✭✭4Ad

The only time I call you Alex is when I'm high is as that's the only time I can listen to you these days !!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,876 ✭✭✭bokale

Id say that was favourite worst nightmare tour. Feel it was Whelan's for first album

Brilliant. And I loved Royal Blood (don't care about the recent hissy fit) plus Sparks - unbelievable old dudes! That young girl Yaya Bey was excellent also. I'm not much of a Foos fan but just so good live. Ditto Hozier - super voice.
