Say you are right. What I find ironic is a lot of people just want this world cup to end and get past it due to where it was (I am kind of in that camp) yet it maybe a very memorable one on the field

Did anyone see Valverde going up to the referee and celebrating after the Uruguayan penalty save? Maybe the ref got pissed with Uruguay after that?

Last round of games for every group so far has had at least one brilliant contest. Not that much to get excited about in the first few round of games though. Long way to go before we can start to rate it against other World Cups

Its the groups of 3 I'm referring to though, not being able to have all the teams playing at the same time is going to ruin the excitement that the final round of matches brings with it

I saw one on you tube saying the WC failed already and that was day one. Talk about agendas!

But It has been fantastic cagey games that could go either way. Later Shocks all over the show. Great stadiums, vibrant crowds.

Fans mixing, saw a Spanish lad with a Japan headband last night for example. And no English hooligans. A1 from me so far.

Or ballsy refereeing who took time to consider the VAR screen (when most other refs reverse the decision) for the first call, and didn't fall for Cavani playing for a penalty in the second.

And of course people are going to be delighted to see Suarez crash and burn given his history, in much the same way grown men will surely begrudge Rice and Grealish should England go the whole way.
