    Panic from rumours.

Rumours have been wrong in the past.....

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,154 ✭✭✭✭normanoffside

Same, went to do foden to Almiron, no idea if it went through.....

Went with the rumours. Salah (C), please don't let me down Mo.

    Pope

    White, Cancelo, Trippier

    Salah (C), Foden, Zaha, Martinelli

    Haaland, Mitrovic, Firmino

    Subs: Andreas, Neco, Emerson

Think I'd take a cameo appearance from Foden (2 goals be nice) & Haaland (1 pointer be nice...)

    GL all.

Not sure if team set as moved subs around and locked in captain, fair annoying.

I think I have but now sure:

    Ward

    Doherty, Cancelo, Trippier

    Salah (c), Saka, Martinelli, Foden

    Haaland, Mitro, Firmino

    Iversen, Andreas, Neco, Webster

And just pray I can at least get 11 players with points. As big rotation risks with the above along with the Foden/Haaland issues.

    Foden on bench

    Haaland not in squad

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,218 ✭✭✭Cypher_sounds

Damn I missed the deadline. Pretty sure ive Haaland captain and Foden vice captain, disaster!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,024 ✭✭✭✭ShaneU

Andreas and Guehi come into my team. Thankfully they both have decent fixtures. Kane captain

A very late -4 after the Foden benching

    Raya

    TAA Guelhi Trippier

    Salah Saka Almiron Andreas Martinelli

    Darwin (c) Toney

    Guaita Doherty Coufal Haaland

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,480 ✭✭✭shmeee

Now, that is awful unlucky. You presume Foden will get a run out at some stage.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,480 ✭✭✭shmeee

    As leaked:

    Man City -

XI | Ederson, Stones, Akanji, Laporte, Cancelo, Rodrigo, De Bruyne, Gundogan (C), Bernardo, Alvarez, Grealish

SUBS | Ortega Moreno, Carson, Dias, Ake, Gomez, Mahrez, Foden, Lewis, Wilson-Esbrand

Leicester XI: Ward, Amartey, Söyüncü, Faes, Tielemans(c), Justin, Castagne, Dewsbury-Hall, Vardy, Maddison, Barnes

Subs: Albrighton, Thomas, Ndidi, Praet, Pérez, Iversen, Daka, Mendy, Iheanacho

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,788 ✭✭✭Benimar

I hate Pep. Avoided Foden all season due to Pep roulette. Eventually bring him in last week as it looks like he's a fairly guaranteed starter this season and then Pep benches him 2 games in a row!

Raya, Saliba, Cancelo, Tripper, Dier, Salah (VC), Martinelli, Foden, Haaland (C), Jesus and Toney.

Andreas to come in for Haaland it is so.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,106 ✭✭✭Mr Crispy

Thankfully got my changes in on time. Went Solanke to DCL and Foden to Saka. Will lose a few quid when/if I bring Foden back in, but had a few quid in the bank anyway. Have Salah (c) and Saka (vc). Should be an interesting week!

    Good luck all.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2 TheDane90

How on Earth did you know that so early? I always see the lineups 60 minutes before KO…

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,352 ✭✭✭✭Father Hernandez

Foden should get minutes at some stage in this game so hopefully won't be need for a 2nd sub.

With no Haaland, we might see a lot of swings with those who didn't go Haaland (C) and those who chose their VC well.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,480 ✭✭✭shmeee

Just leaks on twitter teamnewsandticks account had info up at 10.45am, hence FPL site crashing at eveyone running on to change Haaland captain etc.

Again there leaks and may not be true so have to take a chance with them. And loads of false info also around. It wasn't said if Haaland was on bench or not so that was unsure until 11.15am or so after deadline passed.

Bringing in Foden last week has been a disaster. Thankfully I was able to shift my bench and change my captain before the site crashed. Andreas coming on for Haaland now, Foden second on my bench.

    Allison

    Cancelo, Dalot, Trippier, Gabriel

    Salah(C), Martinelli, Rashford

    Haaland, Mitro, Toney

    (Ward, Andreas, Foden, Neco)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,480 ✭✭✭shmeee

Ya, Foden I feel will come on and hopefully get a good half hour. He's capable of doing damage in that.

Ya same as that, very annoying only have him 2 weeks and starts neither, must be one pep has sniffed as eyes on the world cup..

Would have given Bruno a spin this week over him he has been heavily involved against the low block teams

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2 TheDane90

Yea, okay. Well, I’m looking in here more often from now on - and listening to you. ;) Have Foden as captain, cause I was sure he’d start. :/

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,397 ✭✭✭COH

KDB (vc) for me so just glad he starts. My bench however is garbage so have Perisic in for Haaland who probably wont start either. This season is such a chore!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,218 ✭✭✭Cypher_sounds

Hopefully Leicester tear them a new one in the first half. Wishful thinking though.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,007 ✭✭✭✭callaway92

Nervous from seeing how many De Bruyne captainers there are

He has started really well - By my count has created 3 genuine goal scoring opportunities already - 4 if the one that Alvarez may have been offside for wouldve been counted (it wouldn’t)

    1 SOT from distance too

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,718 ✭✭✭DJIMI TRARORE

Kept c on haaland, but vc on 'arry, rasher in for haaland

Did Zaha to Sake and switched the armband from Haaland to Salah last night so glad that bit worked out but wasnt online for the Foden news. Will never understand Peps decision making, bizarre stuff

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,616 ✭✭✭✭ArmaniJeanss

Exciting stuff again in the 12:30 slot.

Ward has a save point (he's the keeper on your bench/the keeper you had the first 5 weeks)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,007 ✭✭✭✭callaway92

In fairness it's been a good match from a spectator POV

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,958 ✭✭✭✭Ace2007

    KDB (Grealish)

    Great freekick

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,480 ✭✭✭shmeee

Was just coming on to praise Ward.... Ah well! Can't stop that one.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,480 ✭✭✭shmeee

Could do with Foden coming on to be honest now.

It was ominous. I know his goal was a dead-ball, but he's been brilliant anyway

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,958 ✭✭✭✭Ace2007

    Timelamns nearly with a worldie

I mean it's been ok but city games are generally extremely boring and one sided, I can respect what they do but in terms of excitement they don't offer much.

They feel less ominous without haaland tbf but its rare I'd watch a full game of there's outside of a big game, peps low varience, efficient football is boring to watch.

When you have all the money in the world you should have a bit more style :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,007 ✭✭✭✭callaway92

Little bit harsh I think even on City!

Created a few good chances and have been encouraging on the ball. Leicester giving a decent account of themselves too I think (to an extent)

Ya probably a bit harsh, they just do what they do so well, Lesser teams get the odd chances against then but never even get a couple of minutes dominance, like in the Liverpool City years of dominance both teams extremely good but Liverpool games were always more entertaining for me.

Haaland has added interest in watching them, but this sterlie surgical football when they get a goal ahead is painfull.

Foden subbed on for Alvarez (who didn't see much ball at all and likely not near a choice for FPL if Haaland was ever long-term out)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,815 ✭✭✭bantee

Yeah Foden if you could do something that would be great

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,958 ✭✭✭✭Ace2007

Doherty, Dier and Persic all on bench for Spurs

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,397 ✭✭✭COH

Why do I own Chilwell & Perisic ... fml

After all my complaining it's been a good last 20 mins to this game.

Debruyne could of had another attacking return but also escapees a deffo yellow

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,480 ✭✭✭shmeee

Expected that with Doherty, I'll use that Foden 1 point yet I feel.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,419 ✭✭✭✭Fitz*

Wilson heads over from a Trippier pass.

    Newcastle have started on top.
