If people what to work for free that is entirely their business. What gives you the right to restrict what other people choose to do or not do?

its generally people who dont need the money who can afford to work for free.

great if you're in that position but many aren't.

free work then becomes expected and that will end up excluding people who cant work for free.

    1000%

but, ohhhh look what happens when you have decades of political parties, governments, politicians, judges who have acted with massive levels of derogation as regards any ensured degree of fairness, levels of enforcement and therefore deterrent for any unscrupulous / bogey law breaking or otherwise employers….

so no surprise that allowed unpaid internships are a thing.

A lot of people on the outside looking in view internships only as… ohhh, just some watching, shadowing and learning and seeing how things are done and getting experience. NO… that’s not an internship…

An internship is ….a professional learning experience that offers meaningful, practical work related to a student's field of study or career interest.

you are learning, getting experience but working.

should require a minimum wage law….with a maximum contract.
