New bivalent Covid vaccine

    I see that the UK are currently rolling out a new Pfizer/Biotech bivalent vaccines for the original and Omicron Covid strains.


    Just wonder if and when we may see this in Ireland?

    The European Medicines Agency approved these vaccines this week so it shouldn’t be long before they start rolling out here.

    But wait to see how long before NIAC advises the DOH, who will notify the HSE, who might then order the new vaccine (unless they have a huge stock of existing vaccines to work through), and then we might get some results from the Irish bureaucracy doing what its really good at: delaying everything.

    They have approved the original/BA1 booster. I'll wait for the original/BA5 booster which will hopefully be approved soon.
