Thanks ! Rang finance ireland and they were very helpful, sent me over a complete breakdown of costs, all makes sense now ! Paid my deposit and all today so excited now for delivery. Hoping to sell my own car now on Saturday to make an extra fee bob more then what Tesla are offering. Tesla confirmed if you sell your trade in in the meantime you can just pay the remaining difference in a bank transfer which is handy !

Does anyone know when the next shipment is due?

I ordered at the start of February and no sign.
My expected delivery is April-May and it’s been moved twice already

From what I gather, there would be delivery next month unless you are getting one of the new colours from germany, then your delivery should have updated to june-july. I

Are you sure Berlin are supplying RHD cars to UK/IRL? My understanding is that they are not. The new colours are still coming from China.

  • Registered Users Posts: 10 Uwakiss

Yeah, I ordered red in march and got an email last week specifically saying it would be upgraded to cherry red from "gigafactory berlin".

Ok cool. Thats the first confirmation of a Berlin car coming to irl. Thanks.

I'm pretty sure they referred to the paint being developed in the specialist paint shop in the Berlin factory but not that the cars are being made in Berlin.

Was talking to Tesla last Friday following a message 4 days previously to advise on taking the application forward by completing the SEAI paperwork etc and VIN number application now being assigned. The MY ordered end of Feb with delivery moved from Mar-Apr to May8 to May22. The agent said a boat arriving May6 and the car should be in that batch. But notice that someone on the forum with the same delivery range asked to complete further payment and assume have VIN assigned. My app has not updated, no message since and still have no VIN assigned. Is there anything I can do to expedite things.

  • Registered Users Posts: 5 chickenfilletroll

Im kinda in the same date ranges as you regarding order and what the app says, my app still has no VIN but I rang Tesla and they just messaged me my VIN, they keep saying it'll show up in a few days but still no sign of it in the app.

Did you get VIN yet? Rumours are that the cars are still built in China.

if anyone is thinking of cancelling their MYLR order I might be interested. Not a white one

  • Registered Users Posts: 10 Uwakiss

No VIN yet. Did not know China was building cars with the colours and also news of germany making limited amounts of RHD. Comment on the email referring to the paint is spot on, missed that detail.

  • Moderators, Society & Culture Moderators Posts: 38,464 Mod ✭✭✭✭Gumbo

It’s still up in the air I suppose. The VIN will reveal China or Berlin.

You can’t just swap an order. If someone cancels you just have to wait for it to possibly appear in inventory.

Looks like Tesla just increased the new MY RWD by 3k.

    It’s a €3200 increase. €41,832 → €45,058.

does anyone think it’s likely Tesla will ever launch the monthly subscription model for eap and fsd? Despite fsd being useless in Europe. I fancy eap for motorway drives but not paying €3800 for it

I placed my Model Y RWD Standard Range order on March 28th and was assigned a VIN today (April 16th).

The estimated delivery is May 8 -May 23. From your experience, how long does it usually take between a VIN being assigned and the delivery?

When is the VIN assigned? When the car is in the production line? When it's shipped? When it arrive in Europe?

The VIN is a physical presence on the car so at production phase

what’s the story with PCP after the current (expired) 0% deal? The website is still saying 0% up to 31st of March. I rang Tesla over a week ago and they sail the offer is extended to any preconfigured cars available up to todays date. None of them are what I am after.
So what rate will PCP be if I order a car to my spec for the next shipment

All cars ordered to 16th April will seemly get the 0%.

Are you talking a EAP for auto reengagement of autosteer? S3XY buttons commander will do that for a fraction of the price.

I got an email today saying they’re changing my colour from Midnight Silver to Quicksilver.
I wonder will that push out the delivery date

  • Registered Users Posts: 13,036 ✭✭✭✭prawnsambo

This stuff would infuriate me. You might be happy enough with that change, but the sheer arrogance…

  • Registered Users Posts: 44 Doctor Bojangles

Yeah for sure. I actually like the new colour but I would have liked if they gave me a choice

  • Registered Users Posts: 350 ✭✭Break80

    got an email today.

In anticipation of your car arriving for collection in Cork, we require you to make a payment of €47,447.00 to this Tesla account.

I replied asking for the VIN as it wasn't showing on the App yet. Got it by reply.

My app is showing mid May to 1st June for collection,

Just wondering is this normal procedure on payment?

Seems a bit soon to me to be handing over a chunk of change and still waiting a full month for delivery.

    Thanks.

Wouldn't be familiar with Tesla's way of doing business, but in my own experience a few days to a week would have been the norm.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,237 ✭✭✭PGE1970

    I'm collecting my M3H shortly.

I was, essentially, told that if payment was not made a week in advance that I would be "unmatched" (their word) from the car.

When I collect the car and am in a better position to make a post, I'll comment on what I found to be passive aggressive behaviour when dealing with Tesla.

I have bought new cars from many manufacturers before from BMW to Seat, Nissan etc.

I've never dealt with a company that makes it more about them than the customer. Until now.

I paid in full a little over 3 weeks before I collected the car.
