What would make a person want this job to go about upsetting people and deliberately ruining their day .I'm not talking about expensive BMWs blocking people's progress . A car that tax was out by a couple of months and yep there's an easy few quid for the county council slap a 60 quid fine on it .I'm sure there ll be the usual smart arses on here that ll argue u can't drive if your tax is out .anyway I just think that it's the lowest form

I've often thought I would enjoy that job. Everyone driving has had to specifically learn the rules, so they all know what they're doing is wrong.

I'd take a fair amount of satisfaction handing out tickets to people parking wherever they want, not bothering to pay their taxes, or anything else.

Going by the absolute plummeted and plummeting standard of driving, any sort of deterrent to dîckheadishness on our roads is welcome.

that said a neighbour back home was one for about 30 years and man, she was a tough uncompromising woman at the best of times… you’d walk barefoot to the depths of hell just to escape her stare so I can only imagine what she was like at work…

Just be a big boy and accept responsibility as any other decent adult human being would... Complaining for your own irresponsibility is what the lowest form is. Parents/guardians didn't explain you that well? Usually teenagers tend to deny, disagree and move away from responsibilities... Are you still a teen?

I'm far from it but I guess it doesn't matter what u argue on here I ll be attacked regardless , traffic wardens are parasites and it's beyond me why someone would want to be one

People who park illegally, people who park on footpaths blocking space for wheelchairs and buggies, people who pop the hazard lights on for 5 minutes to run in for a coffee, people who park in cycle lanes are all parasites and we could do with a properly staffed traffic enforcement team that clamp down on this behaviour.

I won't say where but one of our local traffic wardens is a total **** his brother was also a traffic warden for a while and a gentleman in comparison.

I don't see any problem with the job but I do see a problem with the way some people do it.

The parasites, to use your term, are those who don't pay their motor tax, park where they'll disrupt traffic flow for the rest of us, obstruct footpaths while thumbing their noses at people who are trying to keep things right for the rest of society.

Suppose I'd throw out a ticket for tax if gone over a couple weeks. Always paid it. Why subsidise cheap skates

Lucky the op wasn't stopped at a checkpoint. With his/her attitude the car would have been taken and only returned on payment of back tax, payment of current tax, payment of towing fee and payment of pound fee.

They should thank the warden for saving them about €250

Not really a crybaby just wondering how the useless people goin around putting tickets on people's cars justify what they do when they hang about street corners looking for easy pickings .think people have enough to worry about these days than some idiot looking in their car to see if all their paperwork is up to date .is there a qualification they get after they pass an exam or something or do they do a fas course for a day like a safe pass

My neighbour is a traffic warden,she's well respected around town and strict but fair,probably a bit too nice if anything.

I'd love to do her job for a while,It would be great to deal with useless pr1cks like the OP for a week or so.I wouldn't like to have to do it full time though
