Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

How is everyone getting on with their plan for Valencia?

I have a number for Dublin so will probably run that as a 18-20 MP run. I was toying with the idea of racing it properly, however i'll still be 4 weeks out from the end date of my current plan

I've raced both before, don't recommend it, put all your eggs/oranges in the Valencia basket.

I'm doing Dublin, pacing a small group to sub 4.

After a disastrous few months, I've now got six decent weeks behind me, starting to get excited.

Still yet to book my flight home, hoping Ryanair put on a Sunday night flight like last year.

as said you be crazy to do both. You’d be much faster in Valencia on same effort. Even people down at 2:50’s have done mid 2:45’s.

I’ve booked in to fly home from Madrid on Sunday night. 10pm with EI €78. Ryanair are not going to add one now. Train about €40. Thought about flying home Monday morning but I’d be glad to wake up in my own bed on Monday than crawling out of a hotel in Madrid and getting on a plane

Starting to build into it now and try not get injured with gaa the next few weeks. I transferred my Dublin entry after some advice elsewhere on here. I'm Fri-Mon with Ryanair. Looking forward to it now, up around 25k on the long runs. I think I'll jump into Ratoath half or the 3/4 marathon in Longwood but not sure yet. Nothing booked in.

    I've booked the Tuesday home.

I was also going over for the 10k in January, Ryanair removed the return flight, so just requested refund, will do Raheny instead.

A refund on the leg which I'm waiting to receive. They moved the flight to Sunday (race time) and the next flight is outside the transfer window on Tuesday so I had to rebook that. Cost about 70 more. Other options were train/flight from Madrid or Alicante on the Monday but I didn't fancy the full day of travel. Annoying but the extra day should be nice.

Madrid is 2 hours on a train without any stops. You could even get a cheap flight

10 weeks this weekend to go.

Training starts to ramp up from now on. A good half in ratoath for me to give me the hope of getting under 3:00. Just keep fit and healthy now. Healthy part is always a problem with school going kids as no doubt the snots etc will make an appearance at least once before race day. Hope everyone is going well
