    Russell out on slicks.

    Russell in the barriers.

I heard them say that and then later Brundle said it's the sound of the car bouncing off the ground 🤷‍♂️

"Well, yeah, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man"

Verstappen has been untouchable this weekend!

Max and Alonso the front row...... Super !!!

I don't think it was a great decision to go out on slicks but Russell was really stupid, most of them were avoiding the puddle the whole way through, he goes out on slicks and decides not to.

Hopefully it’s a little bit more competitive tomorrow

It was a stupid risk to put Russell out on slicks, he was getting decent times and could've been on the first or second row but starts from 8th now

Brilliant performance from Alonso. Also well done to the Haas drivers, third row lockout.

That was a great qualy for Alonso, still got it. And the crowd love it

If Alonso holds it in 2nd through T2 the only question will be if the safety car can stop Verstappen lapping up to the podium. If Alonso gets a good start and stays P2 he will be 2-3 seconds a lap slower than Verstappen at the very least.

If Verstappen gets off the line clean tomorrow then he'll have 1st wrapped up

I reckon this is one of the better grid lineups in a long time.

By my count that’s got to be the most talent on the front row of the grid since Magny Cours 2006

The grid is set up for a great race tomorrow, hopefully Max doesn’t just run away with it

That was a really good qualy. Always great to see a bit of a grid shakeup with Alonso P2.

Hopefully Alonso will get a podium tomorrow.

I think everyone is here for a happier and more hopefully Guenther this year.

Ridiculous from Russell in fairness. In what world did he think he’d be able to manage the car on cold slicks to the point of challenging for pole?? Threw away at least a second row start.

    Alonso though, what a lap!

So much stuff in the qualification ....

Please tell me that wasn't Russell own decision.

Alonso winding back a clock . Great all session. But I still won't believe in the Alpine until the checked flag.

Sainz gave it away as well , Still P3 and he had good pace in FP3 long runs.

Max was a way out on his own .it was never in doubt once he got going

Hamilton has to be happy with getting P4 , now all he has to do is be on the good side of the safety cars and red flags .

Final comment is on the Aston's , the F happens there both Vettel and Stroll hand looked comfortable . What a collapse , strange they couldn't get the tires to turn on as well as they did in FP3.

Looking forward to tomorrow evenings viewing now .

Russell made the call but it was daft.

Have Carlos and Charles not still to go to the stewards for driving unnecessarily slowly?

    Sainz has been summoned

Doesn't matter with LeClerc. He is at the back anyway
