Hkc alarm battery replacement

Getting battery replacement message when trying to activate my hkc alarm. Can I replace this myself or do I need to get original installer out?

If its a Quantum system you need to have the timer reset from the battery menu in engineer mode

Not sure if I leave this here, apologies if not. I’m finally gettin round to doing some alarming, have a HKC Securewatch 20 years but never really used it, get faults on the panel, battery/memory etc. Opened up the box in our kitchen and it looks like one of the battery connectors is fried..? Might explain the battery fault. The black lead is connected, the red simply has nowhere to go anymore. Thanks for any input

You could cut the lead end and attach it direct to the battery.

Or you could cut back the battery lead and crimp on a new connection. Dodgy .connections to battery's are a fire hazard.

Plenty options available for leads which have been corroded as above.
