On my iPad, mobile and desktop, when I go to a thread in My Forum and try to go back one page only, I keep getting kicked back to the general forum rather than My Forum.

is there a workaround for this?

Are you using the back button on your browser or the 'back' button on pagination? Pagination are the page numbers that appear like this and they should work to take you back a page without any issue:

I assume you're talking about going from the main home page to a thread and then back to the main home page? No, there's no workaround. Note that "Latest Posts" and "My Forums" both exist on the same page: www.boards.ie. When you load that page (whether going to it directly or using the back button), the "Latest Posts" tab will always be displayed. The tab you were previously on is not stored anywhere
