What make of car, year, model, etc? Also rough location to help get recommendations.

Also have you any experience at all in workign on cars? Its not a big job and something you could do yourself regardless of experience level if push comes to shove.

Just for clarity are you are saying you're back from a re-test or was it a full test. Its just it doesn't make sense or I'm reading it wrong. "Time is up tomorrow or full test" seems to imply you done the first test in which case were the tie rod ends identified as a problem in the first test? If you're back from the test then you've 28 days for a re-test so why the deadline of tomorrow?

Again only a curiosity, not actually important.

Your chance of finding a place that has the parts and will do the job tomorrow is very slim.

Also motor factors are closed until Monday so you won't get the parts to do it yourself.

I'd say don't worry too much get it booked in for repair asap and keep the fail sheet in the car in case stopped.

Also try not to park in public parking areas in case of a ticket.

Can you get penalised for an out-of-date NCT while parked?

    Yes.

But not really likely, on the other hand you could be unlucky.

If it's only a few days out of date even less likely.
