I looked at his Instagram as well and it’s obvious that he is a mentally ill person who was sucked in by the social image “rise and grind” stuff espoused by fitness influencers. Now, like you said, he thinks training to be **** at fighting is virtuous.

How many more young men are being suckered in to joining MMA gyms around the country and bred to think that they can “**** the h8ers” their pain away and solve their problems with their fists? How many men are being told to “use The Force” on women in unlicensed Jedi Schools? 🙄

I’d say even pre covid he’d be one of those yokes you see who wouldn’t even see shut the fûck up ordering a happy meal, comments about xyz... he I’d say purposely didn’t wear a mask to provoke this confrontation and have it filmed to gain some notoriety and attention....he’d be gutted if it backfired, calling his psychologist in tears.

None that I know of. And certainly none by me :) But I like how you have moved from taking a go at me directly to ignoring me entirely and taking third person pot shots at me hidden away in comments to others. I must really get under your skin for some unknown reason.

Certainly when using Martial Arts as a way to help young men (or any men) with their pain - we are not at all asking to take the pain away with their fists. Even that comment is a bit snide - and rich - given in the OP you called Boxing a "real sport". There too men are learning a sport - but so too are they finding a way to channel their aggressions and negative emotions into physical activity and discipline.

So it's funny how when this is done in a sport you do not like you treat it like it's somehow toxic. Do the same thing in a sport you personally consider "real" and sure that is OK :) One rule for the stuff you like and one rule for everyone/everything else I guess.

A huge part of Martial Arts training is about descalation, restraint, control, and even retreat. Exactly the opposite of using fists/violence to resolve situations. I suspect you know little to nothing about the martial arts and are simply taking a "violence = bad" approach to everything. Except again where it is a sport you are into.

In fact the particular martial art I have been teaching for such purposes is BJJ. This is a grappling style not a striking style predominantly. So even that is the opposite of using fists. Were a violent confrontation inevitable - and deescalation and control and retreat does not work - the kids I train would be more likely to restrain the assailant/criminal until help arrives than they would be to strike out or use violence. Again - something you seem to know little to nothing about.

Finally if you wish to insist someone gets a license - a good start would be to establish they are engaged in some kind of activity that requires one. :) Otherwise you risk people very quickly realising you have no idea whatsoever what you are going on about. Again.

And if anyone offers a slightly different opinion, you have to attack them and explain how they don't know anything about MMA.

I don't think you need to have ever gone to a gym or had a fight. There might be a minimum requirement in terms of how many UFC fight's you paid to watch though
