Spurs have 3 clean sheets from first 3 games. They only fell apart vs Palace cause of the red card. I still think they're tight at the back.

    Sanchez is injured

    Diet went off injured

    Tanganga is suspended

So 3 of their back 4 that kept those clean sheets will be missing against Chelsea

Also to add - Bergwijn and Son who played in those games are also out injured.

So 5 players that starred in those games are missing and the fed up Harry Kane is back playing in the team

    tatters is an understatement really

I think Jesus will be a great 1 GW option but Bamford should be better over 4-6 GWs.

Yeah I'm getting Lukaku fear now against Spurs.

They were keeping clean sheets but their XG conceded was pretty big. Now their absentee list is pretty big too.

Pulled the trigger and went with Bamford in the end. Hope I don't regret it. Already have Torres and city have Chelsea & Liverpool away after Southampton.

With all those Spurs players out it could be a chance for Tuchel to rest Lukaku ;-)

I had initially planned on getting Lukaku in around now but Ronaldo kinda scuppered that idea

Bergwijn was back playing this evening and this article suggests newly signed centre half Romero and Sanchez could both be playing against Chelsea along with Lo Celso even though they are arriving back a bit late to be fully involved with training this week.

Edit: Just saw Bergwijn went off early this evening so maybe he is out for the Chelsea game. Still not going to captain Lukaku.

Abandoned the plan to go Hwang due to doubts over his minutes but I do think he'll come good, went Armstrong to Pukki instead

So the current situation is to get rid of either Mount or Zaha, and bring in Greenwood.

Mount didnt even start the last game so that has me concerned, whereas Greenwood has started really well

What would you think of going Digne to Robertson and Sarr to Dacoure? I've two free transfers and would still have 0.1 in the bank.

The move then next week would be Ings to Edourd and Richarlson to DCL the following week. With the possibility of upgrading Kieta if his game time is reduced to a 6m player like Bergwin or Willock?

Think I prefer Gray and Gallagher over Dacoure at that price, but I agree, Digne and Sarr are two players to ditch.

Anyone want to help a guy out on this 😀

Not sure just how good Mount is going to be. Not the best start to the season with him

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,667 ✭✭✭skippy15

Think with that one it's all about timing, likes of jota greenwood Torres flying at the minute, but all at risk of rotation in future when the likes of mount, raphina even say Madison might all come good and be guaranteed minutes, so could make the move but when Chelsea fixtures turn in 3 weeks may want him back, medium term I'd just prob keep him until after next international break and look at moves elsewhere once he is getting minutes

    Best Wolves defender to get?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,083 ✭✭✭Chesty08

I’d be keeping Zaha for now. Greenwood’s minutes are at risk with Rashford & Cavani also coming back.

Laporte now out for saturday, means with him Antonio and possiblility of Mount and Christensen not starting, took a -4 to bring out Antonio for Bamford

Heads up to double check when the deadline is, I thought I had more time :)

Ughh...head melted. Vegging on the couch with a very bad headache waiting on Covid test result :-(

Spent too long looking at my team to distract myself and in a muddle atm.

    Current squad:

    Sanchez

    TAA | Shaw | Coufal | Ayling

    Salah | Torres | Raphina | Benrahma

    Ronaldo | Ings

Bench: Gilmour | Tsimakas | Antonio

    Zero in the bank.

Jiminez is within budget but feels like a nostalgic move rather than based on this season..... although his underlying stats are good according to the dozens or articles I've read today.

    Any other suggestions?

Haven't seen a lot of Everton this season so not sure on Richarlison. Same story with Pukki tbh.

Banking the FT getting more appealing as the day goes on

Something to consider- Rashford on his way back from injury which could limit Greenwoods minutes, Cavani will want game time too and Ronaldo the first on the team sheet so the United attack is about to get very congested. And on Mount from memory last season he played a lot of games but tended to get rotated for about 1 in every 6 as do most Chelsea players with the exception of maybe Mendy and Rudiger. So if you are selling Mount now dont be surprised if he plays the next 5 or 6 in a row, in making your decision I wouldnt let one game cloud it.

All that said Mount hasnt set FPL on fire and Chelsea have two more difficult fixtures coming up before fixtures get a lot easier for them. I havent seen any Palace game outside of highlights so not sure what Zaha is like this season but he can be frustrating to own, blanks are common with him. He's capable of hauling big but equally capable of spending the entire game moaning at the ref.

Banking is probably the best option, and reassess the squad with 2 FT.

Maupay could be worth a punt, Brighton flying high, and he's always in and around the goals or even Edouard - got two goals in like 6 mins at the weekend. But both options are kinda punty and you may easily regret them. Sanchez to Ramsdale for Arseanl's great fixtures could be other option, but banking probably the best as you need to get some Chelsea players in soon.

I'm having to stick with Mount this week too as opposed to taking a -4. Need him to get minutes with my bench consisting of Sanchez (yellow), Cucho (bench appearance probably) and Amartey (dropped).

Already gone with ASM for Antonio for this week on the hope of returns against Leeds at home. Leeds haven't got going yet and I hope that means they go mad attacking as opposed to protecting the clean sheet first and foremost. Not big returns but he's got something in 3 of the 4 games so far. He's looked a lot more wasteful so far than last year but doesn't seem to have effected his confidence.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,672 ✭✭✭ElTel

    Yeah I'd probably save.

I'm starting tsimikas (no Trent) out of hope. If he gets the start I can hope for a start in GW7 too.

More likely (and I'd be disappointed as a Pool fan) Robbo starts again and I (and you) then know he's not worth holding.

You could then take a hit over the next 2 GWs to rejig.

I've done DCL to Bamford with my first FT.

Going to hold Antonio so looking to upgrade Gilmour. Will go with one of the Everton trio of Gray, Townsend or Doucoure, but still to decide which one.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 190 ✭✭sergioaguero

i would love to captain torres as i feel he could score a hat trick this weekend but i just know come 2pm tomorrow, Pep will have him starting on the bench

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,028 ✭✭✭crushproof

From wolves who would you go for? Trincao, Traore or Moutinho?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,028 ✭✭✭crushproof

I've gone with Doucoure over Gray, saves 0.2m and they seem to be fairly similar creativity wise

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,101 ✭✭✭✭Cartman78

Cheers lads....locked in on banking now.

Torres probably my main concern really so hopefully Pep doesn't go too crazy.... otherwise I'm relying on Gilmour.

Covid test came back negative thankfully, still feel crappy...was convinced I had it tbh...there was a positive case in my young fellas pod at school
