Sports that could be in the olympics

This year we see skateboarding, new martial arts, climbing, the return of baseball and a few more events added to the Olympics. Apart from dodgeball (obviously) does anyone know any obscure sports that deserve a spot on the world stage?

My suggestion is the Asian sport of Da Cau which is like kung fu mixed with Badminton

The world games is held as a trial for seeing what sports could be Olympics worthy. Snooker and Muay Thai were in it last time.

Well, given that Irish medal hopes seem to be strongest in rowing, sailing and boxing, I'm advocating for a new composite event that will combine these three disciplines.

The mixed piracy triathlon, anyone?

And, of course, there's always the Gaelic pentathlon — set-dancing, pint-drinking, backstabbing, funeral-attending and begrudgery.

Formerly an Olympic sport, hasn't been included since the early 1900's. Fascinating to watch two well-matched teams compete.

Once quite popular in Ireland but like many aspects of rural life it has seen quite a decline.

Things that could easily make it and add to the Olympics - Handball (Irish version), 3X 800m Relay, Tug of War, Snooker, Lacrosse.

For light entertainment - Foxy Boxing, Female Mud Wrestling , Pillow Fighting and Pole Dancing

For extreme entertainment - 350-a-side Tae Kwon Do Battle Royale (3 takedowns and you're out).

Tightrope walking - that requires a lot of fitness and skill. 😁

Hurling is a great sport and would be a worthy contender but as GAA is limited to Ireland and some ex-pat communities abroad - zero chance any time soon.

Absailing? Hot air ballooning? Caber tossing?
